What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You’re absolutely right. I bought the cheapest one I could find for a beater watch for when I’m working on vehicles and such. Turns out I really like it and I think I’ll get one with a couple more features like solar and multi-band.

I did that exact thing. One "beater" and one casual/outdoors (solar). Sweet combo! 👍🏻
I have the one with the teeny tiny solar panels that recharge the battery. I'll admit that I find that pretty cool 🤓
Older pic, but I'll just go ahead and carry the Barlow today :)

The snow in the pic is somewhat appropriate today. Our high is supposed to be in the low 80's with the low being in the 20's and snow tonight. An almost 60 degree temperature swing is unusual. Even for Missouri o_O

I'm carrying my latest purchase today. An A.G. Russell lock back made in Seki, Japan. Stainless San Mai with a VG-10 core and bone handles. It's just shy of 3" when closed. Another nice knife from Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley who sharpened it up and now it's ready to cut!

No offense, but I’d rather see the whole Randall, and you can chop off the GEC.
My dad passed away in December and I'm slowly going through his tools. It's not easy because his garage was his haven and although I was allowed to use it, I was never really welcome to. His garage and his tools were his. If we were working on cars, trucks, motorhomes, motorcycles and boats we worked on them together. Him doing the work and me fetching tools and trying to learn.
Now suddenly it's mine. I'm starting to feel that he wants me there and has given his permission although it is still tough.
Long story short, I'm finding some interesting things.
It's far from pristine but this little congress of his is going to get a ton of pocket time.View attachment 2511753View attachment 2511754View attachment 2511755View attachment 2511756View attachment 2511759
Damn that’s got to be rough going through Dad’s tools.
Sorry.
