What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Until recently I didn’t really think that I liked sheepsfoot blades that much. But they are what I keep reaching for and carrying. This 25 lives in my watch pocket and I’ve been using the 15 since I got it a couple weeks ago.

Those 25's are handy and about the length of a GEC14 but wide enough for a human man to use. A lot of people overlook the 25's.

The 29 is one of my favorites too. Nice Osage on yours 👍👍
Thank you mbkr, the 29 took me by surprise but the Osage notsomuch, I'm a longtime fan of the Bois D'Arc. Ruined a lot of clothing trying to squeeze through those Hedgeapple windbreaks when I was younger!
Brilliant trio, but that fixed is exceptionally attractive.

Thanks, Will
Thank you Will, Simon Stonehocker is the maker, one of my most carried fixed blades. Your Boker was mighty fine yesterday! Don't believe I've seen that one before, what covers 👏

I absolutely love that scarecrow art! IRJ looks great as usual. 👍

Thanks Todd.

Love the scarecrow interpretation Todd. Very nice carry.👌
Thank you guys. When we walked into that little studio the scarecrow piece caught my eye immediately…just something about it.
😎👍
59 stag whittler I was fortunate enough to get from bigfish64 bigfish64 , thanks, Todd. And since I attempting to meet the 30 days with a Barlow in the pocket a Russell Green River Works,
one of only five Barlows that I own.

Two good ones Paul, maybe bring that lamb to the show. 😉👍

Real nice ones, buddy.
Hardware stores selling American knives. Nostalgia.

Thank you Jeff ! 😊

What a great pair of Barlows !

Thank you Steve !😊

Beautiful old Barlows you’ve got there, and well-photographed as always.

Three knife Thursday for me today. I’m hoping the #48 and #62 — great knives, but neither of them see much pocket time — will convince me that I don’t need more of either pattern, but I’m afraid the opposite might happen. 😁

Exactly! I overlooked the 25s until I got this one for so cheap I couldn’t refuse. Then it became a permanent carry, to my surprise.

Sorry for my absence, this past week. I've not been too well, and my internet speeds are slower than I am. I had to miss a few pages I'm afraid :( Got my Eric Lamb with me today :) Have a good day folks

Glad to see you back, Jack. Hope you’re feeling better👍
Sweet little fixie, Bart. Love the sunshine!
Thanks Bob. It’s a handy little work knife. We had a good run of grass-growing weather but that ended today. Big storms coming in now.

Many thanks! The Böker comes with what was called Washboard Bone - hence the waves, must have been very difficult to manufacture but it's exceptional stuff. From around the start of the century, they also did Whittlers, Stockman and others in it. Here's some more of the Lockback.

Often like to carry one knife in carbon one in stainless, a single and a multi-blade. Today it's a CASE '18 in Amber Bone, one of the best compact Stockman and a large loutish Frenchman- Gouttière pattern with distinctive ridged guttering bolster in Olivewood by GR knives Issard. This one is very sharp.....

It’s cool here in Ky this morning. I decided to go old school on this Friday. Not a great pic, but dang, what a great pair to pack on a workday. Priming walls and the bar at the new restaurant. I’ll probably carry the Vic Recruit as well. I hope you are all well and feeling good on the 1st day of March. Stay sharp!!View attachment 2515694
