I once saw a documentary on urban coyotes, do you ever find them around? If I recall correctly they said that there is a direct correlation between coyotes and less cats. Not sure whether that was predation or competition driven though.

Coyotes see cats as prey. Very similar to rabbits and such. They also see puppies as an easy meal. Best improvised yote call is whining like a puppy.

I never saw many foxes around here, but I haven't seen any since the coyotes have been prominent. Prominent in their nearly invisible way.

Just getting around to posting Wednesday's carry. Two old friends and one new one I picked up down at Epsteins Hardware. Epsteins is only two blocks from my kid's school, so I have to be near it 5+ times a week. It's amazing that I have money left over for knives...
