What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Is it overkill? Yes.
Am I going to carry them both all day anyway? Yes!

Oh man, that's really bad

If I can remember it, I think I'll use it at the poker game Friday :p
The knife is ok 😐
The bike 😍
Ka-Bar Barlow and a Canal Street Boys Knife.
Love the CSC 😍
The barlow is a Colonial. Or did Kabar make some Colonials? Its never safe to assume anything in the pocket knife world 🤔

Oops…. Meant to say Colonial, don’t know how I wrote Kabar 🤷🏼‍♂️

On another site someone declared that GEC doesn't make knives with soul anymore. I contend that they never have, that one has to give a knive soul by carrying and using it..

That #66 is loaded with soul. I really took notice of it a couple days ago when you posted it. I love everything about it——the smooth bone, the crack, and most of all the verdigris. It’s a real beauty!😍

For today ..... Hibbard, Spencer, and Bartlett Hardware's Very Best and Shapleigh Hardware's "Diamond Edge" Barlows 😊

If we're voting our preference between these two splendid Barlows, I've gotta go with the irresistible jigging of the Diamond Edge!:thumbsup::cool:

First day of many more with this guy.

I approve of your plan; cherish the Churchill!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Throw Back Thursday... Vintage Clauss (Case made) and a favorite vintage Keen Kutter Barlow. Main is short on the Clauss, but nicely re-profiled and the Keen Kutter is stellar all around, f&f and walk n talk :)

Pair of Jacks for the win, Paul!:cool::thumbsup:

Realized it is my 11 year anniversary here on the forums, so decided to carry two knives that were in my collection at that time. This proved to be oddly challenging. I typically like to carry a camp knife with another folder or small fixed blade, but I can’t seem to remember exactly when I acquired many of the camp knives . Strange and weirdly specific amnesia. But these two from AG Russel were definitely in my collection in 2013 :)

Belated congrats on your BF anniversary, Tom; those are a couple of way cool AG Russells from back in those "early days" for you!:cool::thumbsup:

Used my recruit to cut lots of boxes and food packaging in the kitchen at work today. It’s becoming a staple in my EDC. Can’t believe it took me 35+ years of carrying a pocketknife to purchase one. I love it!!View attachment 2515077
I like lots of SAK models, and lots of non-SAK camp knives, but the Recruit is precision back-to-basics!:cool::cool:

Desirable blade combo on that knife!:thumbsup::cool:
What make/model is it??

Work carry. BB 15 and Titusville lamb. Hope everybody had a great day.

Impressive patina on that striped TC already, and I love the matching stripes on the pocket slip!:thumbsup::cool:

Attractive knife, but I have a hard time ignoring the food!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Is that tortilla? I visited my daughter in Spain once, and tortilla was my favorite food there, hot or cold, any time of day or night!

“The Cowboy” Bullet Knife and my dad’s old Boy Scout camping knife. I had no idea he still had it tucked away after all these years, but I recently found it while going through some of his treasures and I couldn’t have been more excited! 😊

Congrats on finding that family heirloom!:cool::thumbsup:

Totin’ these two to start the day. 😎👍View attachment 2515983
Excellent pair to kick off the month of March, Todd!:cool::thumbsup:

Yes, I usually go with a rubber chicken. 🤣
😁

Thanks Gary :)
The "rooster comb" at the end of the knife is actually a blade lock release
Thanks for the info, Jim.:cool::cool:

Thanks GT! I think that one has a geode embedded in it, I’ll have to check it. When I use a waist pack I call it a “satchel”, sounds more Indiana Jones-like :)
Early in our marriage, my wife took me to a southern Indian reservoir, filled a burlap sack with geodes she found, and had me carry the filled sack up the huge hill to "get out of" the reservoir; not sure I ever fully recovered!:rolleyes:
I often wear a fanny pack with the belt over a shoulder and across my chest, and the pack in the middle of my back.

Ha! Thanks for that trip down memory lane, GT! 😁 Yes, that GAW was fun, although the concept and rules may have been a bit convoluted, and keeping things on track took some doing. 😳🤣
I had fun reading through it again, but I think I have about 8 pages still to go.:thumbsup::cool:
There have been some fun GAWs, for sure. Remember Will Power Will Power license plate guessing GAW? IIRC, you were an avid participant in that one.

What IS that you're eating, John? I see fried eggs, but am not familiar with whatever the combination is.

Carrying today : Robeson Barlow and Yaylors Eyw Witness Lambfoot

Duo of great distinction, Harry!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks a lot buddy, sorry for falling behind :) Between this thread and the Guardians thread, I can easily lose half a day

Got this Shadow pattern Lamb, by Josepg Rodgers, with me today :)

Colorful background for what looks like a knife that means business, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Superb pair, Chris! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Heavenly handles on that pair, Steve!:cool::thumbsup:

Friday-Sunday selection. Northwood Presidential (spear blade since has been wiped down) and new Lon Humphrey Mudbone Muskrat. Have a nice weekend.

Thank you Gary, Got that near 10 years ago, remains one of my favorites. Always nice seeing your knife rotation, I need to rotate in more canoes.

GEC 82 Dixie Stockman and a new fixed blade knife today.
