Where’s the pickled herring and rye crackers Ed?
I really do, it's beautiful. The bone 86 was the best of those stainless 86s in my eyes, Pat. Glad you like the slip as well.
And here I thought only my late Grandfather and Uncle ate pickled herring. You sure we aren’t related?G GusSharp68 - Actually, I do have pickled herring frequently and also, marinated artichoke hearts. The rye crackers are out since I had my jaw replacement and only have eight teeth left - all uppers. Sometimes though , I will break up/smash a saltine cracker and chew/gum it along with a sardine or any of my vittles shown above.
I love pickled herring too! Especially with sour creamAnd here I thought only my late Grandfather and Uncle ate pickled herring. You sure we aren’t related?
That should be easy to like. Nice Trapper.
I will force myself to, Jeff. That should be easy to like. Nice Trapper.
Brings back childhood memories of my Grandfather and Uncle (actually Great Uncle) at Christmas chowing down on that stuff at his basement bar and pool table and all of the rest of us being grossed out by it. I remember trying a piece of it and running to bathroom to vomit. Now that I’m much older, I bet I’d love it too. Funny how things change.I love pickled herring too! Especially with sour cream.
Growing up we always had it on Xmas eve. I hated it as a kid but into my teens grew to love it!Brings back childhood memories of my Grandfather and Uncle (actually Great Uncle) at Christmas chowing down on that stuff at his basement bar and pool table and all of the rest of us being grossed out by it. Nice pitchur.
Belated congrats on your BF anniversary, Tom; those are a couple of way cool AG Russells from back in those "early days" for you!
Early in our marriage, my wife took me to a southern Indian reservoir, filled a burlap sack with geodes she found, and had me carry the filled sack up the huge hill to "get out of" the reservoir; not sure I ever fully recovered!
I often wear a fanny pack with the belt over a shoulder and across my chest, and the pack in the middle of my back.
Thank you GT, it really is a treasure!Congrats on finding that family heirloom!![]()
To all of my friends wishing me well, thank you very much.
The truth is that I fell.
Doing a major clean out of my garage. My daughter, who’s handicaped, has one of those large adult sized tricycles. I wheeled it out of the way, and managed to tangle my feet in the running gear. Lost my balance, and fell over in rough gravel. My elbow was pinned against my ribcage, driving it into my ribs when I hit the ground. Hard. I swear I heard something snap.
But like I said, no broken bones that they could find in x-rays. But the ribcage pain is enough to almost make me puke.
Enough about my ills…
I had fun reading through it again, but I think I have about 8 pages still to go.
There have been some fun GAWs, for sure. Remember Will Power license plate guessing GAW? IIRC, you were an avid participant in that one.
