What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Afternoon carry, the sun was out the roads where dry and my bike is street legal from today (taxed).😍

Very, very nervous as its my first ride since I was in hospital.

Break myself in with a gentle little ride on roads I know well and stop at a favourite coffee stop in the country.;)

What could possibly go wrong?

The clue is I live in England.

All was going well till I got to wantage it was like a switch all of a sudden it was cold and the roads where awash and greasy wet.🤭

Still must push on to my coffee stop on the other side of the town (riding in the middle of the road to avoid the big puddles).

It gets colder still and rains more,oh no the coffee stop is closed. 😁

Carry on towards Newbury "flood ahead sign"(these are often wrong or left out a month after) ride the crown of the road with water up to my footpegs,by now I need a hot drink.

3 more miles and the road is totaly closed, the sign says "find alternative route",brilliant advice except there is non we are in the countryside.;)

So back to wantage and a Costa coffee and more rain.

But you better believe I enjoyed every minute of it.

Riding my bike is pure pleasure, we've to NZ and back and all over Europe together.

When I get home I hose my bike and my boots down have a cuppa tea, turn the heating on and fall asleep in front of the telly, great day out. 😍😍😍

Glad you are back on your bike John.🏍
