What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Going lightweight today. This bugger will be plenty, Sawcut green bone SS Peanut.

Heading out to bury my father.
There will be a lot weight on me today regardless.

Grace and peace to you and your family during this difficult time.

This one is actually a Cuban cattle knife. However, I agree with your take on the 53E lineman. It is very useful, with the two sheepsfoot blades it's the blue collar muskrat.
Oops. I guess the wood fooled me.

As today goes by, I’ll be thinking of you.
Got to say, your photo is well done. I immediately thought funeral.

You can see in the first picture that there is a check/crack running through the center pin at the well so I sanded the check/crack to see if it was indeed a crack that went all the way through the cover slab or just a shallow check. Turns out that it was just a shallow check in the wood slab. As a result, the shield sat just a hair proud so rather than mess with it I just removed the shield. It's turned out to be a solid knife and I use it quite a bit for rugged tasks. I like the contrast of the black ebony against the bright metal so I polish out the blade patina after use. It's the only knife I do this to.
Ah, us boys and our knives, we just can’t leave well enough alone. I probably would have done the same thing. All in all, still a beautiful knife.

I went to the glamorous supermarket cafe in a retail park for Shakshuka and eggs again today. 😁

It was even better that the first time I tried it,along with a good strong pot of tea, great value.

Its not from Spain as I thought though.

"Shakshuka is a savoury one-pan vegetarian dish, originating from North Africa. It typically consists of gently poached eggs in a spiced tomato sauce, with vegetables and warming spices such as paprika and cumin".

To balance up the glamour of the retail park cafe I took a photo on my Canadian Case at the back of a furniture shop nearby.

As I dont want you thinking I am one of the false, everything is great in life FB/IG influencers (as if you did). 🤣

I also bought 4 packets of these biscuits.

French biscuits with English tea is the perfect combination (if you tell the French I said that I will deny everything). ;)😆
