What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've been carrying this Charlow since receiving it in the post, from the man himself, this afternoon :) :) :)

Here's my new Case Peanut :)

And thank you for the Forest Jack. It's riding with me all week.

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you get it so clean?

The 73 cleaned up real nice with a couple rounds of polishing, and I put a radius on the sharp butt end too, cause I heard bocote can crack. I polished the shield and the scales to a nice smooth luster. It looked great with the patina you put on it, It's just something I do to all my new-old blades. I have a special patina I like to put on blades that involves a pineapple ritual....

These two arrived this afternoon: a Schatt & Morgan Keystone XX Medium Coke Bottle in mahogany sambor stag and a GEC Tidioute #68 Pony Jack in ebony wood. The S&M is okay (meh) but did not live up to my expectations. The Pony Jack, however, is spectacular! Sharpened it up a little and dropped it in me pocket...

Very cool! Must be some kind of kismet for both of those gems to land in you good fellows hands on the same day!:thumbup:

Yes, it's certainly Barlow Day here in Yorkshire, very generous of you and Charlie Duane :)

I found a mess of these about 10 years ago in a closeout bin with a bunch of cheap truckstop knives at a local hardware store. I knew they were well worth the money asked but didn't know much about them so I took a chance and bought a mess of them. I've gifted several and used others as deal sweeteners when swapping and trading. Only recently have they become more well known in the knifeknut community. These are the ones I have left.

I'm too embarrassed to tell what I paid for them.

Got my freshly reground Eureka in Autumn Gold bone with me today. I got tired of waiting on GEC for a clip version, so did my own.
