Have a peaceful one, folks!

I changed my mind for Mothers' Day. Mom gave me both of these. (Imperial and Camillus).

Nice sentiment and choice for the holiday! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks GT, it is the singular foot. When this happens it takes a week to 10 days before I can really start moving around again ok. It is part of an old high school wrestling injury. I happened to win that tournament, when it flares up I think back on it and say to myself “totally worth it” :)

I think that scrimshaw canoe is my favorite in your collection :thumbsup:

These two for Sunday:

Thanks for the foot info, Tom; hope it's feeling better by now. :) It's cool that you at least won the wrestling tournament in which you originally hurt your foot. My high school started a wrestling club when I was a senior, and we (and our coach) were pretty clueless. We had a couple of "exhibition matches" with other schools and were permitted to enter the postseason district tournament, but IIRC we only had one wrestler that ever won a match that year (and it wasn't me).

Thanks for the kind words about my scrimshaw canoe; I'm pretty fond of it too! 🤓:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Superb scout! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Recently finished school. The knife and necklace were graduation gifts. The knife from a buddy who knows me well, and the necklace is from my girlfriend who knows me best. They are some beautiful reminders of the years past.

Congrats, Grad!! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Gary! When that popped up on the Exchange years ago I nabbed it. I'm glad I did.

An Ibberson lamb & Shapleigh pen knife.
Bonny bone on that pair, Bob! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Is the background a "planter" made from a geode?

Wonderful tote to carry as a memory Gary.👍🏻
Thanks, Bob. :)

Thanks Tyler! Maybe if I could find something with a similar swell I’d have a user, but my knowledge of the stockman and sowbelly patterns is woefully lacking. This is a side view:

The first time I ever handled a sowbelly stockman, I was surprised how good it felt in my hand (and pocket), even though it had thin bone covers. I see what you mean by "swell"; your Winchester's stag adds another "dimension" of hand comfort! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Have a great day!
Stone-cold gorgeous grain on your Albers, Bob! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I toted my Cattaraugus "Hunters Pride" folder yesterday and will again today. I love the sound of the solid snap of the lock, as it engages when I swing the blade open.
A patent date of July 3, 1906 is easy to see on the brass liner lock. At nearly 4.5 inches closed, it fits snugly in my horizontal belt sheath. With the patent date and the presence of all hammered pins, I suspect it was made between 1905 up to the late 1920's. 😊

I'm sure Elijah would say you've got a real affinity for big Catts, Rob! :thumbsup:🤓:thumbsup:

Thanks Patrick, I actually flitzed the little patina I had on it off and tried a gun blue method...I like the results and will leave a grayish base I can build off of. I had blued the cylinder of my 1960's 38 special and liked the results and had the 48 in pocket at the time so figured I'd give it a go :)
That blued blade looks fantastic with your tomato acrylic, Paul! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Another foggy day here in the City by the Bay! A little late posting as I had to go in for blood and UA tests. Of course the lab was short of staff and it took twice as long as normal. keeping me company the usual lamb and Moki. Have a great day folks! 😀

Marvelous Moki, Dan! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

One of my favourite Opinels, right size for most things, think GEC 15 if you're sceptical about 'small' knives :cool:

Here's one of my own No.6s a nice stripey Olivewood.

Thanks, Will

Well-kept Wednesday wood, Steve and ED! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today was my daughter Scout’s fourth birthday, so of course I had her Nifebrite #15 Scout with me.

This is the same knife I was carrying the day she was born, and I’m sure some of you will remember that I post a new picture of her with the knife every year on her birthday (a tradition I started with Eleanor, our oldest, and her Nifebrite #71). And, of course, I always have to re-post all the previous years pics as well. 😁
...
Barrett, I always enjoy the photos you post for the girls' birthdays (but I wish they didn't happen so frequently 😲)!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Hi Gary,
Hope all is well.
The planter is a hunk of quartz, which is glad to carry the succulents.
I got lucky with the Albers grain.

Somebody stole a march on me...well it is her favourite sharpening log (old electrical pole) Maybe she thought it was a mousehole ? ;) Or wants her own CASE ?

Soon after this she devoured 3 baby Voles not long away from their nest...not that struck on this , but when they come into the house in winter that's another matter....that and the Rat colony she systematically annihilated 7 years ago before they could get into the house....:cool: Nature red in tooth and claw- I got some of that when it was time to put her back in the travel box for her city home :eek:🤣 Beautiful spring weather at last, birds calling, trees in green blush, warm enough for shirtsleeves.
