That was my favorite beer.

They were a Detroit beer.The family tried absolutely everything to stay afloat. Somebody in Milwaukee bought the name.

Yeah, I grew up on the north side of Detroit metro. I remember seeing the huge red Stroh's sign on top of the brewery. It was a Detroit landmark. It was a sad day when they tore it down. I seem to recall that Pabst ended up with the Stroh's name. I didn't know they were making it again. I didn't drink much of their beer, but they sure had good ice cream

Modoc ED I bought a new washing machine a couple of years ago. The first place I shopped, the lady was espousing the machines with wifi connectivity. I told her my washing machine didn't need to send and receive emails. No telling what kind of mischief it might get up to. I'm such a geezer (although a good amount younger than you ) that I can think of no good reason to give any of my appliances internet access

Starting with this one, may change over to a SAK later. I may be getting in a SAK rut. They're just soooo handy. Really like this Roundhead too. But then there's also...

Yeah, we went in and told the salesman, "No Buttons - Just knobs" but couldn't avoid a "Push to Start Button". Feels like starting our old tractor - warm up the glow plugs and push the button to start.
