Those barrel knives are quite irresistible!
Dutch Treat!
Sounds like your stretching exercises are paying off, Jer; that's quite an adult-onset growth spurt! My doctor's office has measured me at everything from 6"1" to 6'4.5". It was six four and a half Friday.
Big Camillus for a big guy:

Generous gift of fishing gear, ED!Haven't fished for years. Gathered up all my new, unused, fishing gear - rods, reels, lures, hooks, sinkers, you name it and am taking it all to my barber in town. He's an avid fisherman, has two boys that love to fish so, all the gear will go to good use. This Buck 501 Squire will be my carry during this adventure. No breakfast - saving room for lunch at the Wagon Wheel Cafe.

Impressive "blasts from the past"! Having a birth year canoe is something I dream about!1975 Canoe, from the year of my birth, and a 1935 Buffalo Nickel. Don’t get much better than that! Stay Sharp.
Splendid photo!
I'll bet those knives appreciated being photographed after patiently waiting for so long!A full size Case trapper from 1990 that I bought from the local lumber yard and a 2010 Case Swayback Gent that I bought from a dealer that same year. I've been toting the trapper in my horizontal belt sheath and the swayback in a pocket slip since Monday. Don't ask me why cause I dunno. Today was the first photo session for knives that I have owned for 34 years and 14 years.

Thanks, Zach.Yes it does!
That's a great shade of blue & it makes the red shield really POP!![]()
I don't have an urge to get a motorized 2-wheeler, but an Alox X knife moves the needle! After the dentist, I did a Walmart run, and then went for a scooter ride. For various reasons - weather, out of town, general lack of ambition, blah, blah, blah, I haven't ridden much this year
Jeez...I needed a good long ride. All is right in the world again
Swapped the Cadet for the Pioneer X for the ride.

Wow, I haven't seen a Stroh's in decades.
It has been a long time since I have seen a Strohs. Even longer since I drank one
That was my favorite beer.
They were a Detroit beer. The family tried absolutely everything to stay afloat. Somebody in Milwaukee bought the name.
...
I was also struck by the photo that included a can of Stroh's. I used to drink that brand quite often back in the 1970s. Is the "revived" version of Stroh's still "fire-brewed"? I remember "fire-brewed Stroh's beer" ads from Detriot Tigers radio broadcasts when I was a kid in the 1960s. I looked up the brewery's history online - pretty interesting. Started in Detroit in 1850, sold door-to-door from a wheel barrow; by 1982, Stroh's had become the 3rd largest American brewer, behind Anheuser-Busch and Miller. But by 2000, Stroh's had to sell out to Pabst. I didn't realize that when Stroh's was expanding, they bought out other brands including Augsburger, Goebel, G. Heileman (Old Style), Lone Star, Old Milwaukee, Schaefer, and Schlitz. I've never had the chance to try their ice cream.Yeah, I grew up on the north side of Detroit metro. I remember seeing the huge red Stroh's sign on top of the brewery. It was a Detroit landmark. It was a sad day when they tore it down. I seem to recall that Pabst ended up with the Stroh's name. I didn't know they were making it again. I didn't drink much of their beer, but they sure had good ice cream![]()
That honeycomb muskrat is awesome!
Not surprising, Bob; those knives are earthshaking!
Somehow, I missed quotingYeah, we went in and told the salesman, "No Buttons - Just knobs" but couldn't avoid a "Push to Start Button". Feels like starting our old tractor - warm up the glow plugs and push the button to start.
Thanks, Steve.Nice pair Gary !
Good to see you here again, Greg! Superb covers on your copperhead!!Pocketed this copperhead and whittler combo today. Spent much of the day at my shop and the Green River fb was on the bench there so I threw it into the pic as well.
I haven't been on the inter web much lately so I'm way behind, looks like everyone is doing fine in the knife world.View attachment 2578754![]()
