Sounds like a lot of fun. When they get older they will look back on these times and smile from the great memories being made.
Honeysuckle can be as bad as kudzu. Once a coworker and I were looking for an abandoned, open mine shaft in Aurora, Missouri. The stuff was so thick we couldn't see the ground. After a few minutes, I stopped and said, "This is dangerous, one of us is going to find it by falling in it. We need to go get some machetes and come back." To which Steve responded, "Machetes hell, we need a flame thrower!"![]()

Here's my my contribution to "What traditional knives did you carry since that last time you had a minute to post?" Plus incriminating accessory to murder pic of bird dog in the garden (Japanese Honeysuckle must die), and shot of my Asiatic Lilly because it's looking mighty fine this year. Have a great day Porch!
I have fond memories of being Dad's tool hander upper![]()
When the boy was here last year, I made a big project that he could help me with. The swings and climbing rope that had kept the boys occupied thirty years ago were way past their lifespan. So I bought new gear, put up an extension ladder, and had him hand me tools and etc from the ground.
Works like a champ at keeping them away from the tv.
Uh, gee thanks!Elijah J. is downstairs working on your prize !![]()
