Here's my my contribution to "What traditional knives did you carry since that last time you had a minute to post?" Plus incriminating accessory to murder pic of bird dog in the garden (Japanese Honeysuckle must die), and shot of my Asiatic Lilly because it's looking mighty fine this year. Have a great day Porch!
I think I like the 4th, 2nd, 1st, 6th, 3rd, and 5th pair the best! 😃

Loving this Case XX Rail-splitter , the build quality on these older knives are amazing. View attachment 2585826

I’ve often wondered, but never asked. What makes a railsplitter pattern different from a normal jack knife? Is it the construction, or the blades, or something else. Maybe it’s just whatever the maker decides to call it? Either way, you’ve got a nice one there!

Also, I’ve recently realized that one of my favorite blade shapes is the “nearly-stubby” clip blade. Gotta have the just right proportions and angle of the clip. Gotta be kind of tall for its size and have a more gradual curve to the belly too. Makes for a great slicer, a pointy but not fragile tip, and great eye-appeal. These two have “it”, and I think I’ll carry one or maybe both of them in the morning.
