Although I have significantly more traditional a than modern knives, I'm generally a stranger in this forum.
I just bought a CV Case Trapper on whim. (Hand selected of course, to ensure no gaping and straight blades. I've had fit and finish issues with Case in the past. I settled for barely off center blade over rusted and severely rubbing blade. ;-))
I felt like getting a Patina going.
Ill take some pics when I get home.
Had to share my excitement!

This li'l feller today. I bought my Peanut as sort of a novelty/collection type folder, but I'm really coming around on it. Lots of sharp edge for such a small knife! The Peanut is a can-do pocket pal... not to be underestimated! :)

My brand spanking new J. Lloyd zulu shadow with auroch slabs.

The fit and finish is SUPERB for what I paid, and it came fairly sharp but got to razor sharp with 30 seconds on the sharpmaker. I may end up only carrying this on special occassions since I feel like the handle material may be slightly brittle.

As promised, my new Trapper pictures.

With my pet, a tamed white-ringneck dove. Yes, it can fly (very well), and yes, it is outside. :) It chooses not to fly away.

I was hoping that a CASE fanatic could please date this for me. :)

Bladeboss-
I believe that trapper is a 2001 model with 5xs and 4dots.
Nice knife by the way, one of my favorites.

The peanut was one i got a bit back and never liked, the main blade had more side play than a coin in a pickle jar...I tightened it up, blades now off center but its usable so i'm trying to like it (even though I think case's QC is extremely lacking).

Dressing it up today with my hippo ivory geppetto Whittler and my Gabon ebony charlow. Playing some chess with my friend. seemed fitting match to the game

gonna pack this one around, the scales are much lighter on the pile side, but I love this 72 lockback...

Great looking knife, Daniel. What is the county of origin?

google for "kreissler messer" , you will find the Kreissler Family in a small town inside the "Black Forst", Germany.

They produce their knives since 1875! One of the rare "manufacturers" of traditional pocket knives, outside Solingen.
