Happy Birthday, Dude!!!Birthday today, not much on the agenda so far. I'm mostly just enjoying a day off of work with Mrs. Hoovie. We're just getting some stuff ready for my sister's baby shower tomorrow & then later this afternoon we're going to hit up the oyster bar in town.
The Winchester seemed appropriate since we're both from the same year & how can you have oysters without a pearl Case in pocket?...

Btw the pics don't do the Case justice. It's hard to catch the iridescence in the pearl...
Hope y'all have a great weekend!

We make the trip a couple of times a year to New York City. A stop at the Grand Central Station Oyster Bar is always on our agenda. My wife is no fan either but there are always a few things we do that aren't my cup of tea.ThanksPeregrin ! I'm glad that we're not too far from the coast so we can get them when we want them. They're a favorite of mine. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea...
My wife can't stand them, but she did at least give them a try before saying "Nope!"![]()
Ed, sounds like one of those movies where the world is ending. No AM radio???Phones and power were out overnight last night. We have no cell phone signal here at the house so our comms were nil. Couldn't tell if the power was out in town so at 6:30AM I went out to the truck and turned on the AM radio. No go - static only so that showed that there was no power in town at our local AM Radio Station at the time. Tried again at 8:00AM and the programming was on so grabbed (figure of speech only) Cindy and went down to the Wagon Wheel Cafe. Their power had only just come on so it was biscuits and gravy with sausage for breakfast. Stuck with the Gunstock for carry.

Hey Mr. Primble, just curious, how much did an India Steel Works Whittler cost back in your day?
