What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'd like to be in the Northwoods today! Maybe it would be cooler than the expected 92F here.

Love the pickup.
I had a short bed '67 a few decades ago.
The 360/390 is a torque monster as well. And, when in proper tune, the driver's right foot isn't lead ... and the cargo is under 1,000 pounds, fairly thrifty on how much fuel it sips.

Curious ... Looks like she's been sitting more than 6 months or so. ☹️🥺
How many wasp nests are in the cab, and the engine air cleaner?
Thanks, It's my late grandpa's. You're right it has been sitting for a while unfortunately. It's a '69 "Camper Special" As for the proper tuning & lead foot.... He was a hot rodder back in the day 🤣, that hood scoop is one he put on the truck. He took it off of an old Mustang or Torino, I can't remember which.

Mike, did you really call it "soda" back then? o_O 🤓
I thought Michigan kids always called soft drinks "pop", but maybe that was a West Michigan thing.

Nope. It was definitely "pop" back then. Forty years in Missouri... :)

When my paternal Grandpa died, he left behind a '69 Ford heavy half pick up with a 390, 3 speed on the tree. Grandma heated with coal, but did not drive. Dad and I once hauled 3300 pounds of coal in that truck across narrow county roads. Dad let me drive back and I remember that every time we hit a dip in the road, the front end got really light. A couple of times to where the steering wheel danced back and forth a little :D
Stout motor

I hear you! I slept until 8 this morning and am trying to figure out how that happened, so I can repeat it consistently!
Must be the day for it. I got up at 6 to use the bathroom and then uncharacteristically went back to bed and slept until 7:30😴

Thanks!

Emissions testing is required in some states every few years to supposedly ensure your vehicle is still operating under the ‘legal limit’ in regards to the pollutants it emits.
Thanks mate.
I thought it must be something like that.

Sure looks like chestnut bone to me, Frank!:thumbsup::cool: I'd probably say yours is a darker variant than some knives have. Here's a photo of my chestnut Case models that shows the variability in the color of chestnut bone.

The Mrs has confirmed that it is “pop” and I know both my parents called it that as well, however… Vernors has designated itself as a soda!

Some stunning chestnut bone examples!

Looks like a Torino scoop, to me.
I "think" I "remember" the 'stang scoops were a different shape and larger.
