Yessir, that's him -- right on point! Mr. James Hanson, Esq. The first black President (Pro Temp) in the Continental Congress (of the soon-to-be united states).
There were actually seven presidents during the 11 years between the start of the Revolutionary War in 1776 and its end and the writing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787-88.
Most people think George Washington was the first president. He wasn't, he was the the 8th president. But he was the first president of the "Republic of the united states of America."

I have been truly, shamelessly indulgent lately. If this what you call Bad, I want no part of Good.
That Moran eureka is fantastic!👍
74 and Cosimo lamb for work.

Getting the patina going quickly 👍 I like that you went with non-stainless on that.
Unfortunately it’s kind of buried in the garage at the moment. Haven’t had it out in a couple years. 🫤 It does have this ability to give other items stored in the garage with it a distinct “old car” smell, like the camp chairs we took to watch fireworks tonight (rescheduled from the 4th due to the weather). It’s the Checker’s little way of making sure it isn’t forgotten. 🤣

I’ve got a car like that too. At this point I need to drain the tank and put in fresh gas. I never have the time lately that an old car requires but I know if I sell it I’ll miss it.

LOL...Facebook revisionist history, nothing at all to do with reality.....Look it up....
John Hanson was elected first President of the Confederation Congress in 1781 after the Articles of Confederation were signed. (There were 14 men who served as President of the Continental Congress in total I believe, not 7). He wasn't African American.....

The man in the picture on the $2 bill is not John Hanson, its Robert Morris, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

There was another John Hanson who was a Senator in the West African Commonwealth of Liberia, and this is the person who the revisionist FB history is saying was the first African American President.....

Trust NOTHING on FB to be truth or fact and a whopping 15% of WIKI to be accurate.
Of course less than 50% of the "History" textbooks are truthful/accurate.
The writers of history have traditionally lied (AKA: "Revised") to make their side appear "better", omitting the crimes committed by their government.
The attempted genocide of native Americans, and the Government breaking pretty much every treaty made with them, for example, in the case of the USA.
The schools still claim Chris Columbus "discovered America", despite all the archyological proof the "Vikings" had settlements and trading posts in Canada /Nova Scotia hundreds of years before Chris' great-great-great gramps was a twinkle in Chris' great-great-great-great grand mummy's eyes.
Truth is, Chris never laid eyes or foot on North America.
He landed in what are now known as The Virigin Islands, on Saint Croix.

The schools also claim "slavery was the root cause of the US Civil War."
Another lie. Economic policies had a much greater roll.
All Southern goods were hit with high tariffs in the north, among other things not related to slavery.
The majority of union troops did not care about slavery.
The majority of Confederate troops were farm boys from families that didn't have any slaves. They were not fighting to preserve slavery, like the "schools" claim.

Knife content so I don't get banned:
