Sorry I haven't posted much lately y'all. Just been super busy on this end. Been working nights lately & now I'm back with a short turnaround on days.
I'm Carrying the Schrade old timer I won in a GAW here on the porch. knarfeng & @afishhunter we're talking about them yesterday so I brought mine out for some pocket time

Playing pool this afternoon. Probably do a Dollar General/grocery run while I'm in town. MoDOT has construction going on at the bridge approaches. Everything down to one lane each way I think. I came through there yesterday on the bike from a different direction and traffic was moving, but slowly. I'm glad I'm don't have to deal with it daily

Such a great classic pocket knife ! Those carbon blades strop up to a razor edge. I've gifted most of mine to my nephews but still have a stockman and a peanut. Well worn.

This old Imperial picked it off the bay for $20.00 cleaned it up and put new edge on it.

Yeah I've been eyeing it for a while and finally just went for it. It just came yesterday but the initial review is almost all positive. It's a great size and shape. Not too heavy. Medium pull with half stops, all very snappy and smooth. I love the blade design. It's a bit too shiney for me so I might hit it with some 600 or 800 to give it a satin look.

No liner/spring gaps. Spring is flush when closed and open. Blade is perfectly centered. It came sharp enough. No rough edges or anything like that. One cover is absolutely perfect (the rear cover). The front bone cover has some small gaps with the liner but nothing to write home about. The knife needed to be cleaned out well and oiled. There was polishing schmutz in the bone and pivot. No biggie.

Overall, it's fantastic. My first B&S and I would definitely buy again.

Moving on from the 8OT, today's carry is a US-Schrade 837UH Premium stockman, one of my favorites.
I bought this used a few years ago, so I don't know whether it is 440A or 420HC.
