What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I was wondering about that on mine.
Main is noticably stiffer/heavier than the other two ... About an "8" to "8.5"? after lubing. The other two are a "5".
The three on my hollow bolster Imperial, and Imperial Frontier are all a "5", so I was wondering if my 8OT was "defective" concerning the stiff pull on the main.
I don't need a pick to open it, but it is somewhat disconcerning. Enough so I am more likely to carry one of the Imperials, or my vintage 858, which has a "5" pull on all the blades. I don't particularly like wrestling or fighting with my knife to open it.
I "think" I "fixed" it ... somewhat ... got the pull down to around "7". ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
It looked like maybe some blade rub against the Sheeps Foot. (my offshore UH885 had the same issue.) A little work with a mini diamond file and a 1500 grit waterstone on the spine edge improved it.
Sorry. Photo won't upload, even after rebooting 3x. โ˜น๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ก
Yahoo! (no, not the Yahoo that formerly offered free dial-up Internet access ๐Ÿ™„) Got it to upload at 03:08 (Mtn Time) ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
I'm sure the light patina present will repair itself.

Suggestion:
Depending on what "it" is, don't bet anything you DON'T want to lose on that. ๐Ÿ˜‡
Extending my left arm out, and pointing palm cloud ways, for exampe, is physically impossible for me to do. Has been for 69 years and counting, "thanks" to the hereditary bone disorder I have.

(I'm 4th generation to inherit it. My(?) two kids didn't get it, even tho there was a 99.9% chance they would, according to the 25 plus orthopedic specialists that talked me to between ages 8 and 20. ๐Ÿ™„)

The last few years reaching my toes to put on socks has been "difficult" to "NOT TODAY!!!! Need to use the sock putter-onner." ... or ask a staffette for help ... and make her green and/or ๐Ÿคฎ when she c's my bare foots. ๐Ÿ™„

I might be ewwgly, but I aint mean, so I will never ask for help with that.
I don't want to gross them out, nor make them feel ill, or puke. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Truth be told we used to keep all those tasty pan fry perch until we were advised that society as whole should let them grow.
I've eaten some small fish myself and I would never try discourage a man from bringing a few fish home for dinner. Its the large scale offshore fishing and the people useing huge nets in the rivers that are depletion fish population here in Ireland

Apparently the South Carolina humidity has worked the shield out of my Case peanut. Luckily I found it before leaving and will reinstall when I get back to Rhode Island. Happy Friday folks!

Welcome to South Carolina!!!

J Jonny D ,I forgot to add, I'm glad you found the shield for your Case peanut! Luckily it's an easy fix (I've done it myself lol) I hope you enjoyed our coastal part of the country ๐Ÿ‘

P.S. Yes, it's been really humid down here lately, more than usual. To quote an old coworker "You don't really get used to it, you just tolerate it." ๐Ÿคฃ

Thanks kindly David. As you know, the old classics are a joy to carry. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Not just in knives either Bob. 1911's fit the bill. Well worn in jeans and broken in cowboy boots. Sometimes, no make that a lot of times, classics are comforting and a blessing to enjoy.
Carrying these two for my shift. Have a great weekend everyone.

If the shift includes that background I would look forward to work

Been busy again, here's the week in knife pics

Tiny two-blade and Tidioute Tuesday. I was packing up this lovely Brooks saddle I sold on Feebay (sad to sell an old friend, but my arse prefers the Team Pro to this B-17, plus the hammered copper rivets on the Team Pro are bigger). I needed some cardboard with holes punched in it to hold zip ties and protect the saddle from box-wear. Luckily, I came prepared! The awl makes lovely holes in cardboard! I was smiling by this point in time. Grabbed the PSK (fixed blade) and started slicing the cardboard to fit, and I thought of how this would make Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund wince. I smiled even bigger and cut some more pieces ;)

Ironwood Wednesday. The 74 has really surprised me, it was outside my wheelhouse and I bought it after a big sale and a few drinks ๐Ÿ˜œ It has quietly, handily, become the only single blade GEC that I carry on a regular basis.

Three-blade Thursday, or not-very thrifty Thursday. Cheered me up for sure, we all know how *amazing* Dave's work is (don't we?!).

Friday Forum knife / favorite functional pair. I am so amazingly grateful for this 34, which continues to grow on me with use. I even like the splintery bone that is slowly disintegrating where my knife bangs against things through my pocket. If we don't get a forum knife this year, I'll just fondle this one and be happy.

Make this weekend the best it can be Porchsters!

I hope you get to meet Paul in person one of these days. Interesting young man๐Ÿค™
My son trained where Paul works, and how fast can you run? I think thatโ€™s an artillery range in that pic.
Gorgeous, buddy. Thanks for the views.
