What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I should have said I don't like to sweat while I'm watching TV or reading a book ;)
...or sleeping 😴

I like the jigging on that example. I've wondered about W.E.B. My limited experience with AG Russell is that he had high standards for what he sold.

In keeping with the theme, here's my Fiskars with their holster, and a Buck 810 that I haven't actually used yet, but it sure looks capable of something 🤨

I've got an 810 too. Just sayin.

Camping in the Sierras for the last week.

I borught along a A Wright Lambsfoot and then the Urban Jack happen to be in the car for the trip, so I dragged it up Moro Rock with me.

Nice y'all!
Maybe it's time Buck made a folding pruner of some kind!?! Or maybe a hardwood, stag, stacked leather version of the 810, Wishful thinking I suppose 🤔😁

What can I say? Things don’t change much around here. #86 and #48

All I can figure is you must be cleaning salt water fish with that 86 ................ just look at all those specks on the blade ! 🙀😍
It looks old before it's time ......................... not a bad thing though. ;)🤣
I might try burying mine in the back yard for a while .............. with salt shaker ! 🤣

I have a couple of War Eagles. Have a couple of Rough Riders, too. I would put the War Eagles a step above the RR's for fit and finish and for getting the walk and talk right. Agree about AG.

Might be a new way to Primble-ize them . I usually just walk around with my knives in a sweaty pocket; that’s why they look so Crappie. 😉

You’re in my neck of the woods. I live in Visalia, and the peaks you can see from Moro Rock are where I go backpacking. I have two week long trips in the high country coming up next month.

We celebrated my daughter Eleanor’s 8th birthday today. She had a party at a trampoline park yesterday with all her friends, so today was just family time. We went out to eat breakfast at one of her favorite places, then went to the zoo (something that has become a bit of a birthday tradition for us).

It was warm and sunny most of the day, and the girls were more interested in playing in the zoo’s splash pad than walking around looking at animals. (We have an annual zoo membership, so it’s nice to be able to go without feeling like you have to do and see everything to get your money’s worth). Here’s Scout having some fun at the splash pad.

We did get to see a bird show that they do a couple times a day, which was a first for us.

After the bird show and splash pad (and some obligatory Dippin’ Dots), we walked around one of the zoo’s smaller (and more shaded) trails that features animals native to Minnesota. A lot of animals were staying cool in the shade (who could blame them), but we did see a few, including a pair of pumas, which I don’t think we’d see out when we’d visited before.

As always on Eleanor’s birthday, I had her Nifebrite #71 Bull Nose, the knife I had with me the day she was born.

And, as always, I’m going to subject you to a recap of the photos I take of her every year with her knife.

1 day old (Eleanor was born late at night, so her first knife pic was actually taken the next day):
