Have a fine day!
Last week I was using some Fiskar pruning shears (at bottom of photo) similar to the ones in your pic, Jeff.

We have a patio behind the house covered by an "arbor" of wisteria. It's very nice when the sun is south or west of the house, but the wisteria wants to grow not only on the arbor, but also onto the bricks and roof of the house and into the branches of an oak tree that get close to the arbor. Wisteria vines even grow along the entire south foundation of the house behind a rosebush, a couple of barberry bushes, a forsythia bush, and the AC compressor unit. I spent a few hours last week trying to remove those vines along the foundation and then cutting the vines into manageable chunks to pack into our city yard waste bin. I spent a couple of hours late Wednesday afternoon getting started. I got back to it Thursday afternoon, but decided to try to sharpen my pruning shears before I hit the vines. Man, I was amazed at the difference 5 minutes with a DMT extra-coarse diafold made in the cutting performance of the shears!

Bonny bone, radiant in the sun, Steve!

That rosewood HHB is a stunner, David!

We haven't had any decent rain in weeks, so the grass is turning brown & crunchy. The weeds continue to thrive though.
I hope you get some rain soon. My lawn is usually dormant by mid-July, but we've received over 5 inches of rain this month so far, more than double the average. Over half of it came when the remnants of Hurricane Beryl spent 4 days moving slowly across Michigan.

Spectacular SwayBack Jack, Chris! I'll just unload almost the entire "R" section of my BF thesaurus on it: radiant, radical, rapturous, ravishing, refined, redoubtable, regal, reliable, remarkable, renowned, resolute, respected, resplendent, revered, rich, ritzy, riveting, robust, rockin’, royal!!

Apparently the South Carolina humidity has worked the shield out of my Case peanut. Luckily I found it before leaving and will reinstall when I get back to Rhode Island. Happy Friday folks!
Love that cast iron water meter cover!!

Notable pair, Bob!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Tim, your old Case redbone jack is a treasurer, and I always enjoy seeing your bus token (or whatever it is). Here's a pic of a Chinese Schrade 61OT with a token from the bus system in Lafayette IN:

I decided to do a mustard/vinegar patina on my WT for summer protection here in SW Florida.

The forced patina looks great, Jeff, as does the acrylic handle of your improved trapper!

Cool old Imperial! Is that a lock release on the back of the knife?

Back to a granddaddy for Saturday. 😊

Schradurday, so…
And Mitch reminded me I still have my Wenger Handyman as almost always.
Total Glamor Shot of that pair, Jeff!

5K Qs 5K Qs we never had ac when I lived in MIchigan. Now I'm older and don't like to sweat 😃
I like the hot weather and don't mind sweating when I'm working in the yard or walking around the neighborhoods, but it sure is easier to sleep with AC.

Classy knife pattern!

Thanks, Gary.👍
It's not a recent find, I bought it a few years ago.;)
Thanks for the info, José. My memory isn't as good as it used to be!

I like your pair of yellow Cases! I took similar photos once upon a time, but with pen knife instead of peanut.

Thanks mate,
The lamb was a generous gift from Paul @Jakeywax31 that is a regardless by @glennbad 😎
The Sabot in Blackwood i recently picked up from an Aussie collector.

Oh yeah we call soda soft drinks.
You usually get asked want a coke or something else coke is the most popular. If you ask for soda, you would probably get straight soda
water. Although the youngters seem to live on energy drinks, my youngest does.
Thanks for the additional info on your knives, Mitch. I wasn't sure if the Sabot was wood or horn.
And thanks for more "regional info" on what term is used for soft drinks in your area!

Splendid knife, and cool canine commemorative!

Rounded bolsters?? Pfft! You keep that up, and I'll send you a square-bolstered Canoe! 😃😵‍💫😁🤣

No special tools needed for the blade centering on that one! I literally taped it up, grabbed a "regular hammer" from junk drawer and gave it a few whacks! 😬 I figured worst case... it'd still be off-center. 🤣
🤓 Worst case to me seems like blade still off-center , but also off the knife!

Your ancient MAM is very cool, José!

W😲W!! The soup smells GOOD , gents!!

Very nice armada Gary.😍
Thanks, Bob. My back doesn't let me kayak anymore, but I enjoy paddling my canoes around the kitchen table!

Thanks Gary.
One would think evolution would have strengthened our backs; to the contrary, it seems to have weakened them.
