What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hormel garlic lemon pork loin in the stick burner smoked for a couple hours using applewood to 140 internal then seared a couple minutes on each side. So easy, so good, on sale at local grocery for $5. Using the leftovers for tacos this evening. After seeing the condition of my 83 I flitzed, stropped, and oiled it. Have a great weekend!

My wife found this cool little Imperial brand knife in a box of things she had as a little girl. Apparently Tuf Nut was a brand of clothing back in the 50s and 60s and they put a knife in the pocket of every new pair of their jeans they sold. I cleaned it up and oiled it to revive the walk and talk. I put a new edge on the blade as it was extremely dull. It was obviously used very little. She wanted me to have it so I've added it to my collection.

This thing is top notch all around. I was looking for something else when it caught my eye.... I'm sure you know how that goes.

Smooth, sleek with perfect fit and finish. Nice paper micarta that has some layers in the light but I can't photograph it. The action is smooth with solid lock up and zero blade play.

That blade is belt/brushed finished on each surface with perfect lines. The spine is rounded and gives it sort of an underbladed effect which is nice for in the pocket.

I’m heading into my usual membership/buymorethanyouneed store, and as usual, I’ll look for a good deal on something to smoke later today.
Mahi mahi for tomorrow.

This place, you’ll want to have an at least Cub Scout level of plant identification skills before you touch things like that vine.

You can still make out the >-voos-> over USA. The pitting and the old attempt at sanding it out don’t bother me. It is pretty old. Still snappy and scalpel sharp. At least it never got fluffed ‘n buffed.
