This place, you’ll want to have an at least Cub Scout level of plant identification skills before you touch things like that vine.
Poison ivy does not grow here, but poison oak does. Same leaf configuration, and I steer clear of anything with "palmately trifoliate" leaves. (One of the few technical terms I remember from my college botany taxonomy course a few decades ago in a galaxy far, far away. If you are going to remember a random botanical term, this one is a good candidate.)

Today's carry Is a GEC #13 "Speaker Jack", the 2013 BF Forum knife.

Who did the mod on that? They did a good job.
Thanks, lambertiana, Jeremy and Gabe, for the compliments. I did the mod myself on a 1x30 sander with a 60 grit belt. I thought I had some finer sandpaper to finish the swedge, but found all I had was 400 wet/dry which would not smooth the transition from the original swedge to my new radiused one. I'll tune it up tomorrow.

Love that Orchard  Regret having to sell mine a while ago....
Thank you my friend. This one came in today and I couldn't be happier with it. The blade etch and shield truly makes it a gem.

This pic will be the last one with my 15 Ancient before its packed for shipment. A good friend really wanted it and we finally able to make a deal!

My Cattaraugus collection has out grown my John Primble collection over time. It was also short a really good example of Barlow. I was pleased to land this one this week and make it my own after it arrived. I toted it for a while yesterday and again today and maybe tomorrow. It's been a ten year hunt to finally find and land a nice one with the script bolster, along with many disappointments along the way. I toted my Catt sleeveboard whittler with it today. 😊 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

I was going to ask you yesterday with your catch at Jeannine’s Pier ~ do you keep the drums, and if so, how do you cook them?
Freshwater drums in the midwest never made my list of eating fish, but maybe salt drum are not the same. Sure is a lot of meat there.
No, we never kept the drum because they’re over slot size; keepers are between 18-27”. Red drum is prime eating, but I did grow up on the Illinois River and do remember the despised freshwater drum. Nothing more disappointing than fishing for catfish and reeling in a drum.😫
