What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Todays carry...

It's a single blade Ebony Sowbelly to carry today on our trip to town to mail bills and pick up some miscellaneous materials at ACE Hardware. The Wagon Wheel Cafe is closed today so it's gonna be Lamb Stew at the Brass Rail Restaurant. Coffee only for breakfast.

Very nice sowbelly Ed. A great size and blade for an everyday carry.👍🏻

I decided I needed to try one of these Max Saos and I’m really glad I did. It’s really well made and I love the curvy lines and the green bone.

1970 Christmas present.
1970 found a few years ago for $2.50 (the other handle was broken.)
1972 (No more draft!) I was 15, but it had been on my mind.
1973, first half of senior year in high school.
1974, beginning of college.
1976, the obvious, and foreign study in London.

Though I think the Barlow is still out of the vault.
Go figure. I was 15 in ‘72.
Yesterday, the county decided we needed a stripe on our road. I guess we're big time uptown now 🥳😃
Personally, I find it a little confining. I've lived here 30 years and have grown used to wandering around willy nilly 🤪
I do wonder what criteria was used to determine we needed a stripe. There have been several new houses built over the years, but I'm not aware of any recent construction. Maybe the paint was about to expire and needed to be used 🤷‍♂️
Totin' the 29 out in the yard this morning while I admired the pretty new stripe. Life is pretty exciting here in Mid-MO.

Can’t really blame you, David. I doubt I could choose either😁
