I think about that every time he posts that knife and I think it’s the secret to its beauty.I clearly remember the day you tossed that thing in a mud puddle.![]()
Beautiful knife and slip. May I ask where you picked up the slip.

Take care Ed. I came down with something last week. I had a fever & cold/flu like symptoms for about three days. I'm over it, but my wife has it now. And she says I don't share!Lordy, Lordy, Lordy !!! We're pooped. I had called for a dump of our dumpster this past Monday just before this dang cold started coming on so yesterday, Cindy and I took out a trash can and a few separate bags of this and that to fill the dumpster before they came. Wiped us out. Managed to get my jeans on and am carrying the same 501 as yesterday. Breakfast is no more than a thought at this particular moment. Sorry if I haven't responded to some of y'alls posts.

Thanks man. Rob at Beard & Owl made the slip. He makes Special's when he gets exotic stuff in.Beautiful knife and slip. May I ask where you picked up the slip.
I like my burlap the just way it is thank youEveryone should polish their burlap!! Looks great.
Not much at all in this hotel I am in,top of a hill no cafes or shops. My wife and I an often talking about how good the cafe con leche’s were in Spain. We stayed there for ten days or so (before kids) every morning got a cafe con leche and some bread/pastry. Can’t replicate them at home, I think it must be the beans they use. I’d never had jamon iberico either which was brilliant.
They must have different laws than here, we popped into a tiny little bodega one day for a glass of wine and the owner had these little meat ball things which he handed me. They were really really good so I asked what they were and he showed me they’d come from a wild boar he’d shot.
My sister in law was living in London so we went there as well which was nice. I went hunting roebuck in Scotland and really loved the scenery. Didn’t get one so I’m determined to go back again someday.
Anyway that knife cabinet is define, I’d blow my whole trips worth of money there!
Many thanks, I'm really fond of the Grohmann as it feels so right in the hand-despite/because of looking weirdI like the flat grind and smaller size of the Bird&Trout type too. It's my travelling knife for any food prep, the only aspect that could be bettered would be to land a Stag handled version as owned by
