I envy your ability to carry out thought experiments, just like Einstein!I figure my weight might give me a chance, as the board would sink and become a hydrofoil, and I'd be braced by being planted knee-deep.
I'm in no hurry to test that hypothesis, however, scientist though I be.

That's a cool wallet (?) Gary!
Thanks, Michael and Bart....
Cool wallet, Gary

Thanks for the info, José.I don't live in a big city, but in a small one (Ermesinde) on the outskirts of Porto, so the population that goes on holiday hasn't made much of a difference.![]()
Thanks for the stability assessment, Bart....
Thanks Gary. I had to drop to my knees once in some very small rapids, otherwise they’re pretty stable.

Yeah, a good-sized sheepsfoot combined with a sturdy poker is a handy set of tools.I had that one as well and traded it off. Nice little knives, for sure
Glad you're able to keep the your only nearby pharmacy, ED.5K Qs - They've closed down quite a few of them in California. They are leaving ours open as there isn't another pharmacy within 100-miles of us. Rite Aid is out of bankruptcy and is forming under another name. We've been told ours will assume that name eventually.
Thanks for the length info, Rob. That's about the perfect length IMHO, just like a canoe!Thank you GT. It's three and five eighths inches closed.
Interesting model number!
Notable pair of knives!
Nice Buck lockback, ED.Well, Cindy has what I have so we're both down for the count. Had enough energy this morning to put my jeans on and dropped this 501 Squire in my pocket. ????? for breakfast.

That IS rare, José!Thanks, Gary.
It's kind of rare, that only 30 were made.![]()
Groovy S&M stockman, Jeff!
That seems like a design flaw, Jeff.I’d wear overalls more often, but both of mine have one fatal flaw. The bottom of the front pockets are stiched to the legs, meaning that when I sit on something low so that my knees are higher than my hips, pocket knives slide right out.
That looks like a winner to me, Frank!Today's carry is an oddity that I picked up in 2016 at a web store that sold TSA confiscated knives. I have never seen a pattern quite like it and since it was cheap and had a sheepsfoot blade (my favorite) I grabbed it.
A Winchester 4660714A. I would guess an Asian origin.
3 1/8" closed length. The frame shape resembles a canoe, except the metal covers have no bolsters and have pinched ends. Some sort of stainless blade steel. Two spring design with a pull of about a 6 (assuming a 5 for an SAK). Built like a brick telephone booth and about that ugly, but surprisingly satisfying to carry and use. (Seriously, who puts black stripes on traditional knife blades.)

Note: literary license. Not really a peanut.
I was perusing a site that sold used knives and came across what looked to be an interesting little Winchester. The sales pic looked about like this:

I like knives with clip and sheepsfoot combinations. They are hard to find in a two blade knives. For five bucks, I decided I should grab this one for a closer look.
When I received it, I was somewhat surprised to see it was black. All black. Everything except for the sections of...
