What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Well I’ve been carrying the moose off and on for the past 2 falls but really hadn’t done much with it.

From 2018 until 2022 it pretty much lived in its tube. Fall 2022 I decided to start carrying it and others that I wasn’t carrying.

Today I decided it was time for it to stop just being pocket jewelry and get actually used some. My wife wanted fried potatoes tonight so I thought it was a wonderful opportunity. I use to always cut potatoes with my carbon camping knives to get a good patina. So the work has started.👍

It’s time to make it mine.👍

I’m just going to take a wild guess that whatever happens today, you are well equipped to deal with it.
Yep. Not only today, but probably the rest of my minutes on this rock.
If I "have to" break down cardboard boxes, I have a Stanely 199 utility knife with 1 or 2 unused blades, at my desk. 😊
(no "need" to dull one of my good knives doing that task.)
I also have a few specialty knives I don't normally tote, like a marlin spike and folding lenolum/carpet/pruning* knife (AKA: "Hawkbill") if needed.
(*I use the Stanely 199 for drywall.) 😇👍

I enjoy a good moose knife. Our vacation is going well. A couple of Yankees visiting Tennessee and Georgia.

Great pic! I hope y'all are having a good time down at this part of the country! There's an endless amount of land & history to experience here. I'm nextdoor in South Carolina but I often go into Georgia, Tennessee & North Carolina. They're a relatively short drive from where I'm at.
This area has everything from the Smoky Mountains to rolling farmland plains & back down to the low land swamps then leading up to the coast line & beaches. A little bit of everything.

P.S. I'm sure you already know there's a big knife store in Sevierville, Tennessee... 😉
