What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

One year hip replacement checkup....all is good.
Glad to hear everything is going well!

Nice!
A year already!?
So what's the service policy? First service free, 100,000 steps or 12 months whichever comes first 😉😆😆

My dad just had his replaced recently also. I need remind him to check his service manual & make sure he "oils the joints"!
😉

Came with a standard right handed belt sheath when new in 2010, but I'm left handed and wanted a pocket sheath
Some years ago, had one of the leather workers here on BF custom make a front left jeans pocket sheath
The sheath is remarkably top quality all round, by a master leather craftsman IMHO. It may well outlast me ... and the knife
Mark Condos Leather, Driftwood Texas ... not currently taking orders and hasn't posted here since 2022. Hope you're doing okay Mark @knifeleather
GEC H73210

EDIT: Quick edge shot from the desk in front of me. Sheath is built like a tank, well finished and comfortable in the pocket ... like it was custom made or something ;)

I hope they do a similar fixie to that again, it’s a dandy of a knife.

Thanks Jack. It wasn't wildly popular when it came out.
It's like a 73 folder pattern in a fixed blade but a little thicker handle and a wider blade.
The 73 is one of my favorites and so is this H73210
The tang on the fixed blade is longer than the tang on a 73 folder
So the overall length of the fixed blade is about an eighth to a quarter inch or so longer overall.

I was sent on my way and the doc said " see you when your other hip wears out". I only worry about it popping out. A friend's has popped out twice on the golf course. I asked him if his surgeon graduated first or last in his class.😁
Glad to hear everything is going well!

I hope your dad is doing well. It is amazing how fast one can recover.

Mine is a newer self lubricating model.😂

No problem 👍
I had to look it up myself when I first got a GEC with the same marking. Always learning something new here.
Always members here willing to share information and help others.

Frost is coming, so likely my last picking of beans.

Have a terriffic Tuesday.
Or as my Mother-in-law says, Tuesdy.
Now it is time to leave some on the vine to dry for pots of hand and bean soup with onion and cornbread on the cold Illinois winter days.
One year hip replacement checkup....all is good.
