What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I may be misremembering, but did you get a new avatar pic?
I partially credit/blame that particular Strat for the subset of guitardom that beats up new guitars to make them look Been There, Done That.

Great Camillus there.

My phone says maybe two to four inches today, but they can’t predict who’s going to get it.🙄

If I could carve, I’d carve duck decoys. But not with a Farmer’s Jack. 😎

When I joined, it was to read about my Spydercos and the like. Never posted for years until I went back to slipjoints.
Congrats Mitchell
Thank you Jeff!
I was looking for info & what was out there, not many options in Australia at the time.

For some reason I feel like taking a nap 😆

Well it took me three tries to get it right trying to respond to your post. Yes, I did have a different avatar before. Also, I agree that SRV’s guitar did have a huge part in all of the “Relic” guitars.

Not good or bad, just an observation. He was a knife maker in Sheffield, died a few years back. My dad has a really good example of his work, I’ve never been able to find one myself.
Agreed, Trevor Ablett was not a custom maker, artisan but made solid and useful working-knives for reasonable money, something about extinct now. Here's his version of Ettrick in Stag shown with a Wright's knife.

I’ve liked the Canoe pattern and all the pictures here. Finally got one. 3 5/8’s with the clip being 2 5/8’s and the wharncliffe 2 inches. I like the different blade configuration. Two springs. The covers are from unique pepperwood burl that baked out in the Karoo of South Africa for a couple of decades. Another fine knife from William O’Kelly of K’roo knives.
