More each day, I hear folks online talking about their winter preparations: Snow plow contracts, blower and tractor maintenance, heated driveways - it all sounds perfectly dreadful...

Hey - have you ever seen a banana flower? This is fall in South Florida, instead of leaves changing color we have ripening bananas. Instead of blowing snow, we're dodging falling coconuts. Miami certainly has its downsides - but no snow isn't one of them.
