What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Woke up to about three inches of snow this morning and still coming down. We were going to town for lunch at the Brass Rail Restaurant but who needs to fight the snowy roads so home we'll stay. I'll carry this Buck 112 LT around the house for the duration. Sausage and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

So sorry for the late reply, my friend. Some of the arrow shafts were made from arrowwood viburnum shoots and a couple from bamboo garden stakes, both heated and straightened. Wild turkey fletch feathers and deer sinew wraps at fletching and behind stone points to prevent splitting of shaft upon impact. Fun to make and much more durable than typical cedar arrow shafting. Thanks kindly for your interest. :)

Around here, this time of year, you’ll see a lot of pickup trucks parked off the road. It’s bow season!

Looks like a great camp, Greg🤙
Tis the season indeed, Jeff. My favorite time of year. :)

I headed out again for 5 more days of camping, roaming the woods and chasing whitetail deer and was fortunate enough to harvest more venison table fare. Had an American made puukko style knife made by G Knives on the belt and a Kissing Cranes folder in the pocket. Both used to skin and quarter the harvest in camp to prepare to put on ice in the cooler for the 3-1/2 hour drive home. I gotta say I love being out there, could spend all of November in the woods if that were an option. :)

It's been a little bit since I've posted. Sorry about that y'all, you know how life gets in the way sometimes.
Anyway, catching up... My aunt & cousin flew in from Texas last weekend. They stayed here for a few days. It was nice to see them again & catch up. It's been a few years since I've seen them last.
I felt the Yellow Rose #97 was appropriate for the occasion, I also had the Waynorth Harness Jack with me over the past weekend.

I just swapped between the GEC Bull Moose & the Bull Hide Carver this last week for work.

Now that things have calmed down & we're getting some much needed rest I've got the S&M "Pickle Jack" & the Case/Bose Eureka Jack with me.
I dug out this old book for a coworker of mine. I let him get my old 1964 Ford Falcon from me for a father son project.

Here it is after we dropped it off at his place. 1964 Falcon 200 C.I. straight six engine & manual three speed on the column. It may not be a big V8 fire breather but it's still a fun car to drive around. I'm glad to see it go to a good home, him & his son will make some great memories with it.

Hope y'all are doing well, have a great weekend!

Nice that you could have that family reunion. Some fine carries for the occasion. I drove a 67 falcon in '67 my senior year in h.s.. I was banned from driving my father's GTO.🫤
That should be a fun project.

Thanks Bob. Sounds like there's a story with that GTO! 😬😂
Yes, it should be a fun project for them. Everything is there with minimal rust for the age. I just bought it from an old neighbor of mine years ago & after I got my grandfather's F100 that took priority. Can't keep everything, so it had to find a new home. I'm glad it found a good one & will be appreciated.
