Slipjoint Sunday, grabbed this sweet BF 2020 "Swayback" from Viper Knives...the Italians build great modern traditionals!

H Honest_Thomas Scotch Eggs? Now there's something I liked a lot when living in Britain, useful 'travelling food' staple , Cornish Pasty was another one too

There are other single blade GECs a bit further up the size ladder , 77 and 78 come to mind with Spear or Clip but I'd recommend their first pattern the 73- about 3.75" in that Imperial system... like the Drop-Point blade, many different scale options- Stag, Woods, Bone this one has an additional liner lock coupled with a HEAVY pull and spring :D

Actually not far from where I started Will! An O1 tool steel 71 in black delrin from 2014, lost one night while out on the town, still pains me to think of it 😒

Scotch eggs are the ultimate out of the house snack, and it truly is a “Day Maker” when you find a good one ! 🤣

This one has had a rough life. It was lost outside for several weeks. When it was found it had rust on the blade, in the blade well & backspring. It was also missing the shield. I sanded and polished the metal back to normal. GEC reattached the shield & put the etch back on.

My sister-in-law who resides just up the road from us passed away Thanksgiving night. Cindy and I are taking her daughter (our niece) to the funeral home to make final arrangements this morning. The sister-in-law has a cremation policy so at least that part of the arrangements is on track. I'll be toting a Black Curly Maple Sowbelly -seems appropriate for going to a funeral home. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister-in-law Ed. Sending smoke & prayers for you & your family.

That Sowbelly is a nice choice.

I guess for Micarta Monday a Benchmade 318 Proper solo blade canoe, joined by my offshore Old Timer 858OTB (saw cut "Faux Delrin" covers, and upgraded blade steel from 7CR17MoV to 9CR18MoV.) 'Lumberjack' Stockman.
It has been a while since they got pocket time.
