It’s one of the old skills you don’t see very often nowadays, sometimes done to show people how ir was.Outstanding lambsfoot, Jeff; the bone is sensational!
Wonderful flea market find!
I didn't know Petoskey "stone" could be used as a knife cover.
Here's a Vic Explorer with a little Petoskey stone bear in the bakground:
Splendid knife with an attention-grabbing wood handle!
Your Farol "whale" knife is unforgettable, José!
Rob, your Pocket Eze is very easy on the eyes, too!
Bob, I had to attain a certain level of maturity before I started appreciating the Stones.
Thanks, Jeff.
I really appreciated your willingness to sell me that Imperial toothpick!
Nice toothpick, Zach; is the stockman an 8OT (since it's almost as long as the toothpick)?
Toothpicks with a secondary blade (other than a fish scaler) have been hard for me to find, but my preference is to have a clip/pen (2 Imperials) or clip/spey (a Buck) toothpick.
Thanks, Bob.(I'm not sure if I'm eclectic, or just disorganized.
)
Some days I'm just happy to have my pants!
Couple of appealing knives!
I like your approach to knives!
I like my electrician knives and RR sowbelly stockman knives and RR half-hawks (although I prefer the 2-blade version of the half-hawk).
Good luck with chasing down a GEC you'd like!
That Kutmaster punch stockman seed corn knife is superb!
Congrats on that loom fixer, Bob; nice rosewood covers!
Definitely a pair of contenders for Best in Show for Black Friday, Steve!
Sublime knife, Bob!
What's the little stag rectangle? You don't have a set of stag dominoes, do you?
Wonderful whittler, Greg; the pocket slip and deer carving are also very appealing!
Stellar stag pair, Steve!
Beauty!
Have you had it long? How old is it?
Heavenly holiday canoe!
Your CJ lambsfoot Barlow looks great!
Is that type of fence common in your area? I've never seen anything like that!
I don't have much micarta, but I like what I have. I can't recall ever noticing JIGGED micarta, though; have to keep my eyes out for that.
That checkered wood handle is uber-appealing, Bob!

I broke a fork in the trans of an old Allis Chalmers Simplicity tractor plowing snow. Now I just use a snow blower. We had 6" of snow last night, so I had the tractor out cleaning things up. This is the first snow the new tractor has seen.

I have a 2 bladed half hawk with micarta handles, just pm your address if you'd like and I'll send it your way!Thank you, sir. I need to try a 2 bladed half hawk. Do you suggest any certain cover? I’d like to see a red spacer lined black micarta highlander version. Aaaand a single blade sowbelly trapper from them in cinnamon bone stag. Thank you for the well-wishing on my hunt…I’ll need it!
You did a fantastic job on that!My tote for this week after giving the bland and washed out stag scales some TLC with potassium permanganate.

Pure class.
I have about a 250' lane, a large area in front of my three bay pole building, a small parking area behind the house, and a line of mailboxes out front to clear. I've been using a snowblower for over 25 years, but always wanted a tractor for snow, landscaping chores, grading & spreading gravel on the lane, etc. I finally broke down & bought one last month.I broke a fork in the trans of an old Allis Chalmers Simplicity tractor plowing snow. Now I just use a snow blower.
Of course using it on gravel might have contributed.![]()
