Im doing great, Jeff! Hope things are working out for you too! I have been real busy and my computer died about 3 weeks ago. I got a new one just recently now so I am back up and running :)

Good to have you back, Kevin.

Three knives that are no longer made. Schrade, Camillus and Ulster. Nothing fancy, just well made knives. All with long pulls.

It is a Great Eastern Tidioute Cody Scout Jack Black Canvas Micarta ... a bit of a nail breaker :D

Been admiring those for awhile now. That black micarta just looks great on that knife. You and Sam are making it hard for me to resist that one.

dannyp, the David Farmer is a great looking knife. I have admired his work for some time. Congratulations on acquiring that beauty.

Thanks, Gev. I've had it for at least a couple years now. It was my first custom knife. David is a good guy to deal with and he puts a heck of an edge on his knives. He was willing to make me a left handed sheath for the knife, and a couple of days later he sent me an email letting me know he had to make a new one. When he was packing it to ship, the knife was so sharp it cut right through the sheath!

Thanks, Jack. I picked it up here in the Exchange from David Farmer. IIRC, he acid etched the blade to give it more of an aged look, which complements the previous pitting already in the steel.

Good to see you Kevin  My own computer has been limping a bit lately, think I need to get a new one :(

Is that British or Belgian? The WIP looks very interesting

Your comments appreciated, thanks.

Belgian; the lower knife is unmarked. I guess I used the "British" nomenclature in the generic :)

I don't know much about these knives except there are British army knives similar to them, what would be a quick history of the type? I have one stamped with a broad arrow, so I know that one is English, but it is a cruder example than these two, to be direct.

Here's a thread that may be of interest - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1094371-Military-Clasp-Knives - Feel free to add to it (I could do with posting a few more pics there myself!) :)

Hmmm...:)

Carrying my Charlow today :)

Since knee surgery I haven't been able to go downstairs to change knives in over a whole week! I finally ventured down there today and came back up with one of my very favorites.
