What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Large Stockman and a Back Pocket XX from 2011. I hand rubbed a satin finish on all of the metal parts of these two stainless knives. 😊
Had four more inches of snow to shovel again this morning .......... snowed every day for the past seven days. ❄️⛄

I always liked the looks of the BP. Smooth bone looks good on it.
Out of season for a Farmer's Jack. 😁
But we can consider it a reminder that 'Ol Man Winter cannot stay forever.

How's the action, and do the springs hold up well on these? I always wanted a Buck Auto. I just never pulled the trigger on one.
I have two a 112+ and a 110 DA that I bought years ago before Buck started selling autos. Both fire out fast and lock up tight with no wobble. Don’t to how well the springs hold up as I seldom carry them. I do know that Buck will repair theirs but my red 110s warranty was voided when it was modified. Try one the fidget factor is a hoot.IMG_1514.jpeg

Like sf fanatic sf fanatic said, they fire smooth and lock up tight. This one isn’t the fastest auto I have, but it does seem to be getting faster the more I play with it. I don’t know about spring longevity; I have never heard of any problems. They do have the Buck warranty though. Anyway, I like this one and will probably buy a 112 Auto Elite. If you like coil spring autos, you should go for it. 👍

Another snowy, cold day here. Giant Mouse GMF1-F is on my belt. The turkeys were not afraid to get too close today. They're pretty hungry.

I have always loved your GMF1-F and also the pocket sheath for it. Please tell us a little bit about your strop ...... home made ? 😍 🤔

Ellis, it looks like your forum stockman has nice bone color to me.😍

Thank you Jeff.😊

Thanks, Rob. It's a pretty handy knife and M390 is no slouch for a blade. The sheath can be in the pocket or worn on a belt.
I bought that strop online years ago. I don't recall where. I use Chromium Oxide Green Compound on it. If I can remember where I got it I'll shoot you a DM.

For the first time in 43-years, our home is empty. This past week, "Utah" the doxie has not felt well. Late yesterday we took her to our Vet and she said there was no coming back for "Utah" so Cindy and I made the difficult decision to put her down. She has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Hopefully, we can find an older rescue dog. Cindy is beside herself. Neither of us got much sleep last night - our bedmate was absent. No knife pictured this morning but I'm carrying the Case Jack I carried yesterday. Don't feel like breakfast. We'll most likely go to the Wagon Wheel Cafe later for something to eat.
I'm sincerely sorry to hear about Utah's passing Modoc ED Modoc ED .
That decision isn't an easy one to make but you did what's best for her. I've been through a similar situation. We hate to make the tough decisions but we are care takers for them & they are family. We always have to do what's right for them no matter how hard it may be.
Just remember they will be eagerly waiting for us across the rainbow bridge, just as loyal as they always are.

Sending smoke & prayers for you & Cindy,

-Zach-

It's been a cold & wet weekend here in the southeast. One of the few occasions that's appropriate for the lined leather jacket my dad gave me years ago. The Forum Stockman has been a great carry.

Our K9 likes the cold but not wet & cold...
She does not approve of ice on the whiskers, I agree 😂
