It's supposed to be 35F here today, then 3F on Monday. Sorry, 4F Monday and 3F Tuesday.

Thought I'd throw these in.

We've had worse snow years (I hope I'm not speaking too soon), but this is a terrible sun winter.

It's been that way here. We've had a few measurable snows, but nothing like we normally get.....yet. It has been cold, though. We're getting our January thaw the next couple days, with the temps in the 30's, then down to the single digits again starting Monday.

And, my wife's new boots came. I ordered them yesterday & it took a whole day for them to get here. Amazon sure has us spoiled.:) I like to buy local, but everybody around here was out of her size, and were talking maybe a weeks for the next delivery.

I hope the meds help Manny. I know there is a huge bond to him.

Wow on the Case.
Thanks, Rick🤙
Good pairing 👍🤠

Great pair of knives 👍 🤠
Thanks, David!
Carried (and used) my Klein electrician's knife in my pouch today, installing a standalone programmable light switch. (Cool little piece of tech made by Honeywell. It can calculate local sunup and sunset if you put in the latitude and longitude. And it can be programmed to turn on and off at the appropriate times. It's standalone and has no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. I need a shirt that says "I hate Wi-Fi".)

Don't know who made the knife for Klein. Don't even know when it was new. When I hired up as an electrician's helper in ~77, my new boss dug it out of a tool bin and gave it to me, because I didn't have one. It wasn't new. Used the hawkbill blade today to slice the outside cover of a piece of Romex so I could pull the white wire out of it to use for a splice. I haven't done electrical work professionally for decades, but it still lives in my electrician's pouch. And it still gets used.

Nice post about your Chunky Monkey.
I had to have one of those. My plan was to mod it, but changed my mind.
It's perfect for it's intended purpose.

Good comparison. Other than being pretty sure it was not Camillus, I had no idea who made those for Klein. Utica makes sense. Even with changes in the wording of the tang stamp on the Kleins I have, I think they all say USA.

Yeah, it's balmy today🤙

Let's see pics of those boots. I'm always trying to get Vik to wear heavy duty boots in this kind of weather. But she's an interior designer, so...

And thanks to so many of yall for the well wishes for my dog.

Yeah, my wife's the same way. These are her mud/garden shoes. She retired her first pair this week, because they were getting pretty old & the soles were coming apart. In the snow, etc, she just wears her hiking boots.

A cloudy start to the day here in the City by the Bay! No big plans for the weekend just some football and hoops. Keeping me company with a nod to Black Friday the usual lamb and a Rider. Got the $5 bill in change the other day and it didn’t look quite right. Upon closer inspection it’s not. Have a great weekend folks! 😀IMG_1538.jpegIMG_1537.jpegA cloudy start to the day here in the City by the Bay! No big plans for the weekend just some football and hoops. Locking Knife of the Week is a Victorinox folding paring knife with plain edge. It's big and has what I'd call a linerlock, even though the knife is essentially linerless.

International Knife of the Week is a Cudeman I bought in Toledo, Spain:

GT, How do you like that RR Classic Carbon bi-blade Folding Hunter?

I think it looks great (aside from the RR "Brand" they been putting on the bolster for a while now.) I like that the blades don't have the unnecessary and (to my eyes) ugly double pulls.

I am "thinking" of getting one this year ... if still in production when I get around to it. There are other things I need more, such as a 7 speed trigger shifter, and a basic wireless cycle computer, for my adult trike, and some archery arrows, and field points, an arrow stop .... 😊

Sticking with #132 BF Stockman in pocket. I've only sliced a couple strawberries for my cereal so far, (no picture) so no patina started yet.

SAK Year Of The Ox Huntsman (N° 2170/8000), on a SAK belt hanger.
(I "really need" to get a plain every-day Huntsman & stop carrying the fancy numbered one.🤨)

And the Toferener as a neck knife.

Edit 01-18: I decided to gussy up the modified OEM sheath with a (Celtic) Dragon & Sword pendant. I think it looks good.
Hope everyone has a great (and safe) weekend and after.

We had "Utah" the doxie cremated and her ashes should be coming home today or tomorrow. We did the same with Coco. I just didn't/don't have the strength or stamina to did a hole especially, a hole big enough for a german shepherd sized dog such as Coco was. Sausage and eggs for breakfast. It's a 2010 Buck 501 Squire in a belt sheath for today's carry.
