What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A Sunny Sunday in England, what else could/would I carry but my CJ Barlow.

Flooded and muddy but we dont care when the Sun is out.

It was so nice to see so many people enjoying the green space in the City, its common land to me that is special (ancient rights).

Dog walkers, coffee drinkers, kids feeding the birds and ducks, couples sitting on blankets, students playing frisbee (badly),new babys being clucked over,me stumbling and bimbling along. 😆

Yep a nice afternoon which I finished with a pot of tea at a little independant cafe.

Outstanding lamb Johnny. Glad to see you out in the countryside again.😍

I decided to give this old Camillus #9 Grandaddy Barlow some pocket time today. It was a nice little souvenir from our visit up to Vermont a few months back. Unfortunately our maple syrup stash that came down with it is empty...
Need to make another trip up there sometime. Maybe do a smokey & the bandit style run, it's only 1,000 miles north of here 😉

Have a great Sunday y'all!

The Vermont Country Store is your friend until better roads for a road trip.

May I ask if you hand sanded the swedge on the Barlow or used a machine. That just takes it to a whole new level. I think I asked before on another one you posted but I can’t remember so I apologize if I did.

By hand using diamond sharpeners, stones, and abrasive paper last. Not much chance of butchering a knife if you do it by hand and inspect often. Speed kills ! 🤣
I will work on a knife for no longer than an hour and come back and pick up where I left off another time, again and again. Patience is the key 😊
