An ingrained habit from the days of having to visit Chicago's west and south sides for work, I always carry a second car and house key.
And don't ban me, but during those years there was always a large Cold Steel or Spyderco Police along as well. Both exceeded city knife laws, but the cops didn't care.
One of my accounts was the only non-state garage authorized to maintain State Police cars in that district, and I became friends with a bunch of them. Many times we whipped out our knives to compare.
One of the Troopers had a brother who'd recently retired from the Chi. Police Dept. and had asked his Trooper brother to try to sell his service revolver, a Smith & Wesson M 19-3 in four inch. It wasn't a high cap auto loader, so I guess they viewed that old .357 Combat Magnum as an antique. I got it for $100. A little holster wear, but shot very little.
I only mention it because I was thinking of those days when you could get an American made Camillus or Schrade in any hardware store for a few bucks.

Well, three straight days of steady rain turned to a heavy, wet, snow yesterday afternoon with about five inches so far. I've only shoveled about fifty feet of sidewalk from the back porch to the Expedition. I've run out of steam and it's going to take my boiler a looooong time to recharge. This will make a good carry in my pocket while recuperating before I handle the shovel again. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.
