I think it maybe a sheepsfoot, but who knows?? Only because of the spine is flat. I have a half dozen or so Wolstenholm's from this era, and every hawkbills spine raises towards the tip.Any chance the hawk was worn down and it got re-shaped ~ tastefully ~ into the sheepfoot?
Cool knife either way![]()
Thanks for the info Steve!Looks like a reprofiled pruner .
Really hard to beat those two for craftsmanship.
Thanks, Bob. Blessed to own these.Really hard to beat those two for craftsmanship.![]()
You're a good dad to dig down deep for your pup. Nice S&M!Running on a power nap right now. It's been a long 40 hr weekend...
Still got responsibilities, so now it's playtime with our hound. The S&M HJ "Pickle" is my pocket companion for the rest of the day.
I don't know how long the squeaky gummy bear will last though...

Nice Vic's you have there Mike.I've had this extended illness going on and as a consequence I haven't been to Tennessee since the first week of October. This has been weighing on me. I tend to worry about it. So I got to feeling a little better this weekend and decided to make a quick trip to Tennessee. Normally I drive it in one day, but I didn't feel up to a 565 mile drive, so I drove to Huabstadt, Indiana and got a hotel, which is where I am now. My usual travel knife is a Vic Cadet. That's the red one. Nice, slim, useful tools
Being a silver lining, glass half full* kind of guy, one benefit on this illness is I've lost about 15 pounds. I kept having to pull my pants up every time I got out of the car, so the first thing I did when I got in the room was dig out my Pioneer X and drill a new hole in my belt. Nobody wants to see an old geezer's pants fall down
I'm mostly off the grid in TN, so I'll see y'all next week.

*Old engineer joke, you've probably all heard:
A pessimist sees the glass as half empty;
An optimist sees the glass as half full;
An engineer thinks the glass is twice as big as it needs to be![]()

Glad you found it in you to get out and travel. Now, just be careful.
