What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Good looking 112, better looking beer. How much work did you put in to get the brass that shiny
Thank you. Funny you should mention that: I took some pics of it earlier in the morning and noticed the brass had really gotten dullIMG_6977.jpegso I took to it with some Case Paste. I love patina but something about it next to the 301 said it was time to clean it up. About 10 minutes of polishing, I had a deeply blackened rag and an old 112 Ranger that looks sparkly again. ✨That old Buck brass takes a mirror finish.IMG_6996.jpeg

Total transformation. Wood and brass, nothing better.👍🏻

Bunny number 291 hopped back into my pocket today, displacing the Western stockman.
(recycled picture. Currently to dark for a new one. I even found a picture with its current pocketmate. 😁👍)

Since the bunny was ... sufficient ... for several months during 2023 and 2024 (In conjunction with a Sheepsfoot or Wharncliffe when a zero belly blade was the better option for the task at hand.) I'm going let the Bunny have some pocket time, and try to get out of the daily stockman habit. 🤨 (if possible. 🙄)

No other changes. 🤔😊

Continuing with my week away from the rotation schedule, I'll post a couple of "fancy" sowbelly stockman models I got in December, both Rough Riders.
One is a turquoise and silver (neither "real", I think) Old Southwest sowbelly stockman.

The other is a Stoneworx sowbelly with lots of color and lots of blades!

I have not heard of Case Paste. I use either Flitz or Brasso. I will check into the Case Paste.
Thanks for the info

What a beautiful lineup! Please tell me more about the top knife of the three?🤩
It's a Trestle Pines Gunflint available from TSA knives. It's an interesting story. The wood was harvested from lakes and rivers up north. I guess these were logs that sank during transport over 100 years ago. The blade is 154CPM. I've been told they were made by Queen but do not know if that is true.

Not M majorpain1 , but it's a Trestle Pine "Gunstock" made by Queen before they closed their doors. I believe around 2015-2017?
I bought three when they were still making them. Two stag & one purple maple. The other stag I gifted to my dad for his birthday a few years back.
Here's a pic of the pair I have.

(Sorry for the bad lighting.)

It has 1978 stamped on the pile side tang!!
So well after their own knives were wearing delrin, they still knew how to properly jig bone...

Warm weather, coffee, and a pipe. Life is good. Got these two with me at work.

When you have to go outside to fire up at the blade show, get me and I'll go outside with you and catch up.
I don't know how far you live from Janesville, but hope you come meet up at the Badger Blade Show.

I know tomorrow is a big day for mathematically inclined folks, so I thought I'd remind you of this internet fact ~
