What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This hasn't been a six month challenge or anything, but I've been carrying this 112 every day since September 14th. I guess it's about broke in now, so maybe I'll start carrying something else once in a while. Not today though.

Thanks for all of the well wishes yesterday, for my wife! After 14 hours at the U. Of C. hospital, not including travel time, we eventually made it home last night. Today I’m home from work, and helping her out a bit, mostly because she thinks she doesn’t need any help 🤪🤣😜! Totin’ a 2001 Case Sowbelly. IMG_8753.jpegLance

Engineer and John Chapman today. When I first started to carry the #38, I wasn’t sure how practical it would be for edc, but it seems to be as useful as any two blade knife and excels at apple peeling. I know y’all are probably tired of looking at it, but it is what I’m totin’, and I like it so much I can’t help carrying it.

This is the exact picture I needed to see.
Those look GREAT with some patina on them.

How’d you put the fresh edge on the 38?

My week of carrying some of my most recent additions continues.
Here's a Rough Ryder stockman our dog gave me for Christmas. It's kind of a shadow pattern, since its "bolsters" are just a different color of G10 than the handle covers. Also unusual in that the only liner is a brass center liner. Those two features result in quite a lightweight knife for a 3 7/8" stockman. It also has torx screws instead of pins.

For Christmas, my wife gave me a gift card to an outdoors sporting goods store. I finally walked over there last week and picked out this copper-handled Böker Plus Atlas, a knife I've been considering for several years. I've been carrying it this week in a pocket slip, one of 2 slips Jeremy sbh06 sbh06 generously sent me in January.

I took a pocket clip off the pile side, and need to shine up that side because the clip left a "shadow":

Is it just me, or does the knife look somewhat canoe-like??
