Got home yesterday with our Chinese carry out (food not a person) with a light rain falling which quickly turned to sleet and then to snow blowing sideways all night. Perfect day for a light weight knife with a stout blade. This Buck 112 Slim Select is perfect for that role.

Engineer and John Chapman today. When I first started to carry the #38, I wasn’t sure how practical it would be for edc, but it seems to be as useful as any two blade knife and excels at apple peeling. I know y’all are probably tired of looking at it, but it is what I’m totin’, and I like it so much I can’t help carrying it.

There's this guy at church, I'll call him Bill because his name is Bill.
I always saw Bill not joining the rush for the snack table, and sitting in his pew smiling and enjoying the walkout jam we always cut loose on at the end of service. Him and my wife and a few others. Never knew he played, but he joined us for rehearsal today with his electric cello. Sounded great.

How’d you put the fresh edge on the 38?

I’ve been using a diamond rod, then a ceramic rod, and daily stropping on a piece of rolled up paper with chromium oxide buffing compound rubbed on it.
