N°5 in Olivewood?
Good looking knife.![]()
Sheepfoot: straight edge, straight spine parallel to the edge until the elbow where it curves down to the tip.
Lambsfoot: straight edge, spine is straight but angled down as it goes forward to the elbow.
Wharncliffe: straight edge, spine is an elliptic curve all the way to the edge, no sudden elbow in the spine.
Rope knife (called a Ram's Foot by GEC): straight edge, straight spine that angles up as goes forward to the elbow.
Tyson and Bob, thank you both for the answers.Hi Rick,
A simple answer for now.
The ramsfoot has a broader blade where spine and edge are not parallel. The lamsfoot has a spine that has a slight downward angle. ( As seen below).
A sheepsfoot seems to have a spine and edge that are parallel.

Hey that's great news! Also I dig the knifes, but especially the Mr Peanut button.Another beautiful day here in the City by the Bay! Got notification from my surgeon that my surgery will be done next month on the 16th! I’ll be in the hospital for a couple of days so I won’t be posting on the Forum. In the meantime with a nod to Stag Saturday the usual lamb and Mr. Peanut. Have a great weekend folks!View attachment 2846540View attachment 2846541
