This is the new Leatherman Bond that they sent me to replace my old original Tool. The Tool was their first model, and the only thing wrong with it was one of the hinge pin nuts fell out. Same selection of tools with an improved blade shape. I'll use it.

Best wishes to sf fanatic sf fanatic Dan with his gut surgery, and to Sacto Sacto Bart in his hernia recovery!
I am having cataract surgery on one eye today, with the second in two weeks. The right one, my dominant eye was the worst, which made me have to re-learn how to shoot. I'm hoping that they get it right to remove my need for vision correction (near sightedness), which I've needed since 2nd grade.
Dad, Grandpa and I were at Wrigley Field the day Gale Sayers suffered his career ending knee injury, and I kept asking what the score was. Dad said "it's right there on the big scoreboard". And I said "what scoreboard?"

He took me to the eye doc the very next day.🤪

Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Rough Rider carbon steel wharncliffe/spey trapper. (Reminds me more than a little of the Case yellow EZ 49 CV wharncliffe/pen copperhead I posted earlier this week.)

Glad your hernia surgery went well. Wishing you a speedy recovery. I had one of those 30+ years ago. Think I was outta commission for a month. Beautiful Mestano 👍🤠
Good to see you back here, and I hope your recovery is quick and complete.
Thanks guys. The first couple days were rough but I’m feeling pretty good today. I even walked a few blocks to the coffee shop and picked up breakfast this morning.
Sacto Sacto I found out first hand that the older you get, the longer it takes to recover. Heck, even a stiff neck takes a couple days to get over at my age.:)
I’m definitely not as young as I think I am anymore!

Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund good luck with the surgery. I've worn glasses since fifth grade. Or was it third grade? 🤔 Regardless, I have a hard time imagining not having to wear glasses. I think it would be glorious. Hopefully you'll be changing your handle to "Eagle Eye Fleschwund"

sf fanatic sf fanatic Sacto Sacto , wishing you both good outcomes!
Good luck with your cataract surgery, Jeff. My wife had hers done a while ago with good results. My Optometrist keeps telling me I'm not ready yet. I beg to differ. I asked him what I would need to do to get it done sooner. He said, "Be a truck driver." I said, "I'm a truck driver!" He didn't believe me, so I must wait until they are "ripe."
Oh, and nice knives guys!

Clearly Ashley was not hiding behind the door when they were passing out pretty stag. 😎

Wishing you well for your surgery, Dan and a speedy recovery. I’m at home recovering from a surgery this week. Nothing major, just a hernia repair but it was much more painful and immobilizing than I anticipated. Not sure why I thought it would be so easy. Finally felt good enough today to spend a little time on the forum. Last time I was out and about I was carrying this one.

There seems to be some room for interpretation. In 2020 I was told I had the beginnings of cataracts. In 2024 a different optometrist told me there isn't any sign of cataracts🧐
