What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

@sf fanatic Sacto Sacto , wishing you both good outcomes!
Good luck with your cataract surgery, Jeff. My wife had hers done a while ago with good results. My Optometrist keeps telling me I'm not ready yet. I beg to differ. I asked him what I would need to do to get it done sooner. He said, "Be a truck driver." I said, "I'm a truck driver!" He didn't believe me, so I must wait until they are "ripe."
Oh, and nice knives guys!
It went well, thanks, Gary.
Thinking I needed a stronger contact lens, I visited my local eye doc last year. Discovered it was cataracts.
But the surgery had to wait until it got much worse before Medicare would help pay for it.
I used to drive a truck, hauling propane, but let the CDL lapse after leaving that job. I suppose it's wise to keep our truckers and pilots eyes in good shape!

Clearly Ashley was not hiding behind the door when they were passing out pretty stag. 😎
Thanks, Jeff; I totally agree. :)
I like that I happened to get a different type of stag on each side of the handle: kind of smooth on the mark side and more textured on the pile side.

Best wishes for your cataract surgery.:thumbsup:
I had both my eyes done back in 2019, and I found an online claim that cataract surgery is the most frequently performed surgical procedure in the world. I had mine scheduled for 2 weeks apart, but the first one turned out to be not exactly a "run-of-the-mill" experience, so my second one occurred 4 months after the first (and had none of the complications the first one had).
I had worn glasses from the time I got up until the time I turned out the bedroom light at night since the middle of first grade, but after the cataract surgery, my "distance vision" is fine without glasses. But I need glasses to read, so I still wear glasses almost all the time so I can switch from far to close looking as needed without having to dig out reading glasses. But I play basketball without glasses now, often do long walks on hot days without glasses, and can drive without glasses (except I can't read the dashboard instruments without glasses, so I usually wear them for driving). I was given the choice of my artificial lenses being both for distance, or both for close-up, or one of each. I knew people that really liked the one of each so they didn't need glasses at all, but I was afraid that essentially having just one "clear" eye at a time would mess up stuff like depth perception.

This is the new Leatherman Bond that they sent me to replace my old original Tool. The Tool was their first model, and the only thing wrong with it was one of the hinge pin nuts fell out. Same selection of tools with an improved blade shape. I'll use it.

Best wishes to @sf fanatic Dan with his gut surgery, and to Sacto Sacto Bart in his hernia recovery!
I am having cataract surgery on one eye today, with the second in two weeks. The right one, my dominant eye was the worst, which made me have to re-learn how to shoot. I'm hoping that they get it right to remove my need for vision correction (near sightedness), which I've needed since 2nd grade.
Dad, Grandpa and I were at Wrigley Field the day Gale Sayers suffered his career ending knee injury, and I kept asking what the score was. Dad said "it's right there on the big scoreboard". And I said "what scoreboard?"

He took me to the eye doc the very next day.🤪
I hope it worked out for you Jeff . I expect you will see that white things will be whiter .
