Was cash payment an option, or were they only accepting Venmo?Yep, you can still get milk in glass bottles.
It's even better when the cashier at the grocery store asks "Why does your milk say it needs shaking?"... These young-uns know nothing about the cream on top!![]()
And how to make change without looking at a display. They need to knowhow to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission, write in cursive and the list goes on.Crappie71
Cash can sometimes confuse the younger generation... But they need to know how physical currency works![]()
Beautiful, whats the make and calibre?
That is an interesting multi-tool!
Very nice to see you posting againThis beautiful lambsfoot that was a generous gift courtesy of Jack Black and a little Northwoods peanut that I had the pleasure of buying from Derrick Bohn.

Yes, there's an unfortunately large list missing from the current generation... Man do I sound like I'm getting old now...And how to make change without looking at a display. They need to knowhow to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission, write in cursive and the list goes on.
Oh Zach you threw down my soap box.
Stepping off of it now.
In the pocket today
Totally agree Zach. I started driving on the farm very early. Not sure it is about age as it is about what makes a person up.Yes, there's an unfortunately large list missing from the current generation... Man do I sound like I'm getting old now...
I know some of y'all may consider me a young pup on the porch, but I absolutely agree with you Rick.
I see that some kids today aren't even worried about getting a driver's license anymore. I don't know about y'all, but my dad was teaching me to drive out in an old horse pasture years before I went to get my license.
I learned all the fun stuff like the importance of those small triangle windows, manual transmissions (both on the floor & on the column), manual chokes & carburetors, how to deal with pre-power brakes & steering...
How about the high & low beam headlight switch on the floorboard!!! Stomp on = Stomp off!!!
How about a JC Penny spare tire!

Maybe that's why these old traditional knives keep calling me. Not only the nostalgia but it's something that has more soul & beauty to it.
Anyway, here's an old pic to keep the knife conversation relevant. (Case Copperlock in the South Carolina Low Country)

Nice looking Green Case with green in the background . Do you also remember the fresh air inlet to pop up in front below the windshield or on the side , or the 2 speed rear ends or the Mohair Upholstery ? Those were the good old days when you really had to consider doing an engine overhaul between 60,000 to 80,000 Miles .Yes, there's an unfortunately large list missing from the current generation... Man do I sound like I'm getting old now...
