Case Knife of the Week is an amber bone mini trapper that began life with a cap lifter secondary blade, but black mamba black mamba had it swapped with the spey blade on a sowbelly stockman to create his marvelous Beerbelly Stockman (thanks for the "by-product, Jeff):

Colonial/Imperial/Schrade Knife of the Week is an Imperial KampKing I bought in mint condition from an antique store the weekend before COVID changed our lives. The antique store no longer exists, but the KampKing and I live on, so far, although neither the knife nor I is in mint condition any more.

Woke up with no power. As usual, there's a tree down, and again as usual, it's probably one particular property where some moron decided to plant trashy weeping willows along the highway under the power lines.
So got out the old coffee pot. Just another reason to have a gas range ~ no electricity needed. And precisely why I keep some ground coffee along with my usual whole bean.

Don't forget to replace your salts and electrolytes. Plain water won't prevent heat stroke.

Another cool and foggy day here in the City by the Bay 🥶. Roofers are coming to replace the shingled part of our roof. 🤬insurance company won’t renew our homeowners policy until it’s replaced. I’m not looking forward to the sound of nail guns all day. In the meantime keeping me company the usual lamb and a Zulu spear. Have a great day folks! 😀

The weather today: 🏜️
Moving slow this morning 🐢 Woke up at 2:30 AM with a coughing fit and then couldn't go back to sleep. Finally fell asleep at around 4 AM and slept to almost 9 AM. By the time I made it outside, the "feels like" was already 90+. I had a couple of things I planned to get done outside before it got too hot. Ha! 🫠

Now I'm considering running to town to the bank and Wal-Mart. One must be flexible 🥴
Lightweight, stainless, carbon fiber. Perfect for hot weather and shorts wear 🩳

Hope power is back. Coffee perked in an enamel covered pot, heated over gas just tastes better to me.

Sorry I'm late to Blade Forums today. I've been practicing my whistling. Haven't been able to whistle since they cut part of my tongue out when I had my jaw replacement cancer surgery. Seems someone over on the 2024 Blade Forum Knife thread says I sound like some old whistling guy in a defunct TV show. I've been huffing and puffing strenuously all morning and so far have only been able to "Break Wind". They split my lip and left it sagging a bit so it's awfully hard to "pucker up buttercup" as the song goes. Totin this Birchwood 501 today. Sausage and eggs scrambled this morning.

Yeah, but by the time I got my daughter and me all shined up and dressed, and made scrambled eggs with mushrooms with goat cheese for her and her mom, I was late and overeager for that first cup. Fortunately, grounds in the brew don't bother me.
The only thing better would be balanced on a couple of rocks over a little campfire, eh?

Here ya go, buddy ~

A day full of remote meetings and other mundane tasks. This Crossroad in Smooth Brown/Green Dymalux is keeping me company and providing fidget fodder as I look at one boring slide after another!!

I became a sort of collector of corporate buzz words way back when I had to sit through monthly meetings.

Sorry, but I'm going to steal that one.

Glad it was back on soon.
That is so true. Campfire makes food and coffee better.
