  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Went to town early only to find when we came home that while we were gone, "Abby" the Hoarder had taken a bag of onions out of our vegetable bin, tore the onion bag open, and took the onions out to the backyard. We know this because her breath was doggy fresh with no hint of onions and Cindy found a fresh hidey hole with the onions in it. Was carrying a Case Crossroads throughout the whole adventure.

I'm sorry it's frustrating. It's also hilarious. I've often said the best stories come from when things go wrong.

Any chance Abby has some anxiety about being left behind? It seems like the swiping and hiding mostly happens while you're gone.
Does she like to go for a ride?
Of course, who knows what could happen to the cab of the truck while you're eating at the Brass Rail...🥴

I brought three knives to the mountains for the weekend; the Camillus Army Engineers knife, the new GEC 2AB, and my much used GEC 43. I had a thought that the 2AB might replace the 43 on my outdoor adventures, with that sexy 440C stainless blade. I don’t know. I’ve taken the 43 on so many trips, it’s hard to think of using anything else. I really love that 43; it’s got so much history with me. But we’ll see if the 86 can begin to prove itself.

Right on all counts Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund - She definitely doesn't like being left behind. Yes, it's a bit of a problem but we think/know she was abused somewhat in her first home so we do not push/punish her very much at all. To tell you honestly, 99% of her antics cracks us up. She's found softies in us and we'll never lift a hand to her - just a firm voice. Besides, she doesn't poop or pee in the house so it's all good. :)
