  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The Civivi Gander was used as a kitchen knife, firewood processer and all round edc/camping knife for a few days with good results. I still might do something about the edge, let's see what happens if I grind it to a slightly lover edge angle. 90-95 mm blade length seems to be the sweet spot for my use with outdoor knives. The scenery was very beautiful.

Only thing on my to do list today is tightening the anchor bolt on the toilet bowl to the floor. I'm sure "Abby" the Hoarder will poke her nose in to check on the goings on. Carrying a Case 6347 Stockman on my belt in a Buck Squire 501 sheath. Sausage and eggs-up for breakfast.

Love your Roy Rogers Camillus Moose. 😍
I have the Rough Rider homage.
(it has several differences to prevent being passed off as and/or providing parts for the now rare Camillus knives.)
Do you have his wife's (Dale Evans) variation? (RR didn't do a homage of hers, or 15 others in that Camillus series.)
Thanks Steve, I don’t have the Dale Evan’s but I do have Zorro which is my favorite one.

A.G. Russell today , but I had the Puma out for stag Saturday so what the heck .View attachment 2975049
When I was a kid, I subscribed to Outdoor Life magazine. It was a choice between that , Field And Stream, and Sports Afield. No such thing as the internet.
I remember an article praising the Puma White Hunter as the ultimate survival, backwoods, and bushcraft knife. And I think it was the first time I'd heard "bushcraft" outside of the Boy Scout Handbook for Boys.
WWI era Ulster and a modern case 6347 today. The Ulster still has amazing snap!

And amazing looks, too!
