Mom would always ask "well, where did you put it?"The dog legged stockman today. It’s an excellent little Sunday carry. Man, I’m gut-sick today. I’ve lost my favorite daily knife. A burnt cinnamon bone stag half hawk by RR. Proof that they don’t have to cost a lot of money for someone to be emotionally vested in a knife. Oh, I will get another eventually, but I will miss that dude something awful.View attachment 2981563
I’m pretty sure I know where I put it. I worked out in one of the State Parks on Friday and used it to open beef eye rounds to cook in the slow cooker. I’m 99% sure I laid it down to be washed and walked off from it. After that, I’m unsure what happened to it.Mom would always ask "well, where did you put it?"
Sometimes it helped.
Came home from dinner (supper in some parts of the country) last night to find one of my shoes in the backyard and a sheepish grin on "Abby" the Hoarder's face. Falling in line and carrying a SS 6347 Stockman today.

Another cool and foggy start to the day here in the City by the Bay! If it’s anything like yesterday it will be sunny and warm by mid afternoon. Off to our weekly pilgrimage to the grocery store shortly. Along for the ride either the Modoc Special or a sway back jack. Had a great day folks!

About ten years ago, when we were getting the house ready for auction after my Mom died, my son brought a cigar box down from the attic, and showed it to me & my brother. It contained all the Barlows, scout knives, and TL-29s that we "lost" many years ago. Most had our initials crudely scratched in the handles. We fingered them, reminisced a little, then gave the whole box to my son, and got back to work. Finders keepers.Mom would always ask "well, where did you put it?"

Little drive up in the mountains today, looking for some grouse with my buddy. I stopped at an overlook to have some smoked fish, cheese, and crackers.

The mountains of Washington, South of Mount Rainier and just outside the wilderness area for Mount Adams. Our politics are goofy beyond belief, the state is getting over populated and the rain in the winter gets old but there is some spectacular scenery…Looks like a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. What part of the world is this?
